This was a real treat. Drank from Jeroboam. The wine had been stored perfectly and was in grape shape. Softened edges, but minimal signs of tertiary flavors. Aging very gracefully. This bottle could have had a much longer life.

Nicely aged. Decanted 30 minutes before tasting. Redish-brown hue. Notes on black cherry, currant and tobacco on the nose. Very even finish - nice and smooth with no bite at the end. Perfect to drink now.

Fully mature Brunello and drinking well after a 1 hour decant. This wine has a ruby red color and a nose of earth and red fruit. It tastes of cherries, figs, leather, and oak. The wine is medium to full bodied with a silky texture and polished tannins.

Tasted this wine with 10 other serious wine drinkers. A good example of why 2006 was considered one of the best vintages of the decade for Brunello. Richer, fruity, well structured by acidity and tannin. One of the group's favorite wines of the night.

A little worried about this wine. Fruit seems to be drying out. Upon opening it showed well, the the fruit went hiding and palate showed an astringent drying sensation. Im being overly critical here because it just surprised me being a 2006 from Magnum. Didnt have with food, so that might have helped greatly. I would be testing/drinking these if you have a few in the cellar. Will drink another magnum in 6 months or so with food and see how that one shows before I get anxious to drink my Jeroboam.

Great bargain from Costco for less than $40.00. Nice Brunello with good structure, tasting loads of red fruit, licorice, spice, and meat. Fine to drink now, but will keep another 2-3 good years. It took a little while to open up, but once it did, this was a nice wine.

This is my 2nd and last bottle. Did not enjoy the first bottle at all. This one was much better without the soy sauce nose of the last one. Garnet brown in color. Nose is of lite smokey bacon. Not much fruit or complexity but easy drinking. I do think this wine is past it's prime drinking window.

Dark translucent red with brown edges. Thin legs. Has an unusual unpleasant aroma reminiscent of soy sauce. Dry and smooth. Lacks any distinctive flavor profile with no discernible berry or cherry notes unlike most Sangiovese based wines. May be past its prime or possibly corked (although no vinegar taste or wet cardboard aroma). Not my style. Disappointing given other higher reviews.

Monthly Tasting Group: Brunello's (Rinata, Mpls): Very dark red color. This had a bit of slow-O time before serving. Drank 1 glass over 90 minutes. This was very good, younger, silky palate, oak, liqueur, cherry, kirsch. Benefits from some air.

Superb wine. Had this with a Bobs Filet. Dry cherries, forest floor, balsamic vinegar.

Brown highlights around the edges; displays red fruit notes; decent Brunello; probably needs to be consumed within the next year.

Brown color, still brilliant, strong aroma of young leather. It is, in my judgement, over ideal maturity .

This wine is showing great right now. I was very suprised given that it is an '06. One of the top wines I tried during my time in Italy.
