This is a very nice weekday bottle at a great price and excellent qpr. Of course it's best attribute is also its biggest shortcoming - nothing is out of balance, at the same time nothing shines as exemplary. Drinks easy, tastes nice but doesn't leave a lasting impression.

Very pretty garnet / purple. Smooth nose of cherry, plum, flint, wet gravel. Taste is cherry, plum, stone fruit. Very fruit-forward with a smooth finish; very light tannins. Good weeknight wine with a steak or chops; very flat by day two.

I won't go into a lot of detail on this right now other than to say that I found it a very good Bordeaux blend - big California fruit up front; nice full, round mouth feel and moderately long finish. Not fantastic, but very good and outstanding QPR. I'd expect this to keep nicely for another 4 or 5 years and I'll be looking for more on my next Costco run.

I'm a big van of Meritage and this one delivers. Nice dark berry hints with a long earthy finish. Opened for about an hour and was about right. Was not good the next day. Its just a bit too hot in the middle to get over 89. Might do better in a year or two as that settles down. Can't complain about the price. Great QPR.

Again noticed some nice tea and herbal flavors in the first glass. Also got some vanilla, which I'm not that fond of, this time around. Good quaffer with decent QPR.

For whatever reason, although I have had others of these, this was an exceptional bottle.

Not at all bad for $11. But is good because of the aging.

Nice bottle. Time has served it well, but need to drink what is left.

There are some real finds in these Kirkland wines if you buy and age a few years. this is no exception at $11

Very good, but not quite as good as I remember previous bottles. Don't think Costco still carries this one.

Good QPR - PNP. Was better the second day than the first.

As usual a good PNP standby. Great value for the price.

Not as good as the 2007. Still very drinkable and a decent effort from Costco.

Nice sweet vanilla oak nose, but you pay the price on the palate, where you get a mouthful of wood, plus cherry, dark berries, and tea. Quite tannic.

Has totally fallen apart. Now dull and boring, disappointed I bought 3 bottles, each one got worse

Different than my last bottle, now no heat , but lighter. Tea flavors and some complexity, but a bit too light now.

Pop 'n pour. A simple ripe and juicy red wine. An interesting and enjoyable tea flavor dominated when first opened but, sadly, lessened with air.
