Dinner with RJ (Palmetto Bluff): Beautiful light color. Expressive nose displaying succulent white and yellow fruit, apple, lemon curd, a hint of pineapple, a hint of flint and light honey and limestone. Excellent concentration, nicely layered succulent yellow fruit with a hint of white, oily and dense but also good precision and freshness, bright acidity, strong mineral, and a long generous yellow fruit driven mineral finish. Drinking beautifully.

Decanted for 1 hour. The nose was weird, showing a bubble gum tropical fruit combination that although airy was very atypical for PYCM. Light weight palate, dilute lemon flavor without the intensity I normally associate with this producer. Just ok.

beautiful. pretty pale gold color. some white stone fruit/lemon and def minerality on the nose; a little reduction but not much which went away as it opened; lemon curd/hints of apricot/excellent acidity/great minerality/great finish. I really enjoyed this a lot.

Still very fresh - needs some air but then developes amazing nose and aroma. Super precise and good acidity / fruit structure. Long finish and persistence. Great Chassagne!
Superb Balance and with more time evolving into a real multi layered big big wine - would bet its a GC - typical PYC brilliance super tension and accidity

Big nose of bright lemon and crushed stone with just a hint of that PYCM reduction. I'm finding more and more 2010s that aren't evolving as anticipated but this is just perfectly balanced with no sign of flab and an absolutely killer cut to the intense mineral-driven palate. A great example of how white Burgundy can produce massive wines without relying on fruit. This is ready to drink today but not yet at its peak.

Outstanding balance. A pleasure to drink. I wish I could have contemplated this wine a bit longer. Layered. Good acidity. Complexity and simply delicious.

Tropics fruit, spice, flint and lemon citrus on the nose. Easy going palate , fairly ripe and juicy with a touch of bitterness and acidity that adds interest .

Uncorked and let slow ox in the bottle for 1 hour. Superior nose of lemon oil, flint, honeysuckle, and lime elements. Fresh as a daisy with no signs of premox. Rich but refined on the palate with wet slate, lemon rind, honey, grapefruit, and hints of creme brûlée. Excellent acidity holds it together. A nice hint of mouthwatering salinity on the finish. Bravo !

Simply excellent, and quite approachable after an hour after opening. Fresh citrusy nose with touch of white flowers, sharp and precise palate with loads of stone fruit and minerality. Very long finish like sipping wet stone, very good already and on the way up.

2014 New York Wine Experience Trip; 10/14/2014-10/21/2014 (New York City, NY): This medium gold white bursts with lime zest, stone fruit, mineral and floral aromas. On the palate, it is medium bodied, vibrantly acidic and seamlessly alcoholic (13.5%). White flower, lime, tangerine, wet stone and quince flavors are layered and persistent throughout the middle. Ending crisp and with impressive length, this Burgundy shows stunniing intensity and harmony. Drink now-2020.

PYCM is always so sick. On the more citrusy side of Puligny, with nuttiness, spice, mineral, and delineated white fruit. Perfect balance of acidity. Mouthfeel is weightless but expansive. Tie for WOTN.

Pretty sharp fresh citrus nose, after an hour of air showing some slight white flower tones, very young and sharp, very precise, with pronounced acidity but very nice mineral backend. Very well made in a restraint style but will benefit from a lot more cellaring time.

This just screams Puligny on the nose -- white fruit, honeysuckle, stone. Great breadth and acidity on the palate, striking minerality, white and yellow Puligny fruit. Long. I really liked this. @ Hostellerie de Levernois (France).

Top Burgundy Tasting at the Sotto Lounge. (Netherlands): A superb nose of lemon, clementines and wonderfully chalky soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and gorgeously complex, with ripe acids, superb balance and brilliant length. This is a gorgeous wine.

Two Burgundy lovers and their weekend in Napa Valley (SF/NAPA): PYCM is absolutely killing it in 2010. From his basic village stuff to this mid tier 1er, he is rocking house. There is this intense bright lemon fruit on the initial attack that just explodes through the palate with boatloads of acidity and minerality. As it sat in the bottle over the hour, the acidity died down a touch (good thing as it was very strong) and the wine started to flesh out a bit but that intensity never stopped. If you love powerful rich big white burgundy, this is it.

Colin-Morey 2010s (Dig Wines, San Francisco): Very cool, steely nose that seems like the aromatic essence of Puligny. Fruit is downplayed compared to the Trezin. Leaner and probably the most mineral of the bunch, but it fleshes out beautifully in the glass. Perhaps the least ready of these wines.
