wild strawberry and forest scents, pronounced acid to back up flavors of cherry, cranberry and plum pits, straight-forward and mouth-watering, was overpowered by a sausage pizza, but a nice food wine overall

Unsurprisingly, pretty similar to 3 months ago. Hazy cranberry red. Delicate, with wispy aromas of tea, clove and ripe red apple. Strawberry, tea, cherry flavors finishing with brisk acidity. Medium to short finish.

Very bright and briskly acidic wine well suited for a wide range of food. Medium ruby, floral nose of Bing cherry with a slight saline character. Stays fresh throughout. Somewhat shortish finish. From the list, Woodfire Grill Atlanta Ga.

Well made entry level burgundy from a great producer. Drinks well now. Expect improvement with short term cellaring. Well balanced, and displaying good varietal character.

Very good. Quite light in both colour and body, even for a Pinot. Cherries and forest floor. I don't think there is much to be gained by cellaring this further though others with more experience might know better. I'm going to try to finish most of my remaining bottles in 2014.

Muted pinot nose of rose petals. Very fruity on the palate in an almost new world style. That being, said no one would likely call this as california pinot. The wine retains a distinct pinot noir character. Excellent balance and a nice finish.

Ruby coloured. Forest floor, cherries and a bit of alcohol. Nice wine. Not amazing, but pretty good QPR. Limp, acidic and alcoholic on the second night.

(Club Wine Dinner). A little light- was somewhat disappointed. Not much nose, fruit was not that evident. Paired with a coq au vin that was so good, it overrode the disappointment in wine-which Disappointment was also mitigated with the last wine of the night- the Faiveley Clos des Cortons

Buy the 2010 if you can. The 2009 is fine, but the '10 has more fruit, better nose, and is just more enjoyable -- think I've had 4 bottles of the 2010 and they've been very good. Don't think the 2009 is going to get much better w/ time -- it is what it is.

Lifted, lively aromas of spiced red berries, perfume, and dried flowers. A bit darker, though nevertheless fresh pinot fruit emerges on the medium bodied palate, with savory tones of forest floor and rose petal. Tart red fruited, nicely evolving, and quite floral finish aided by fine but present tannins. Good now with air, but should reward with 5 years in the cellar. Hold.

Poured through aerator. More oaky red fruit than bright fruit on the nose, enjoyable. Medium light body with ample fruit. Surprisingly short finish. Complemented lighter fare well at Rustica in Kalamazoo ( excellent meal!)

Relative to the '09 1er Myglands I had 1.5 months ago, this shows more oak, less plush fruit, and a thinner body. There's some loam, cherry, and oak on the nose; cherry and wood on the palate. The finish is somewhat clipped. Not bad, but the Myglands was a much better wine.

Translucent garnet. The last bottle of this I had was already showing some nice secondary aromas so it was a bit disappointing to have this bottle taste so young and primary. Nice flavours of of cherry though. It's also clean, balanced and well made with nice acidity. Very good wine. Maybe that last bottle was aging quickly. I'll have to give the next another 6 months and hopefully it's showing like the last bottle.

Somewhat simple and light with bright acidity, red fruit (cherry and strawberry), and a short, savory finish. Easy to drink and enjoyable for what it is, but there's nothing memorable or particularly noteworthy here, while lacking the quality and complexity of the Faiveley 1er crus of the same vintage.

Clear, light ruby. Very fragrant nose. Feminine - surprising for a 2009. Cranberries, forest floor, asparagus, and raspberries. Well balanced. Nice acidity. Very good value. Delicious wine. Don't have it with food that's too heavy or you'll overpower the wine.

Light, translucent ruby. Reticent nose that continued to open up over 2hrs to show gentle strawberry and cranberry notes and a touch of spice. Surprisingly high-toned for a 2009, and without any sur maturite characteristics. Very pleasant and satisfying finish.

very earthy nose, some straw/hay, maybe even what some people might call "barnyard". Not a ton of fruit but a smooth finish. After being opened a day definitely tasted more cherry and strawberry on the palate. Same nose. Not bad for the price, might buy a few more and see how they age considering the way it opened up after a day.

Last bottle from the cellar.
Still good, but its best days were probably behind it. Darker garnet. Dry, cherries and undergrowth.
