Now in a lovely and velvety condition. A small Pauillac showing after 13 years at its best. Not dry at all. Getting even better after a short decant. No hurry for the remaining bottles.

Oh, this wine has improved immensely! Smooth, but with great concentration. Lots of secondary notes, some spice, maybe even little salty notes. Very long finish, really satisfying. I wish I had more.
Grade: VG. It's rare to find a Pauillac at this price point and it's not half bad if you give it a couple of hours of air. Medium cherry with light cherry rim, fairly complex nose of blackberries, cassis, earth, leather, vanilla, smooth and rounded palate with decent black fruit, juicy acidity, a little minerality and fine tannins, medium-light bodied, nicely balanced if not very memorable.
My Grades: EXX=Exceptional, EX=Excellent, VG=Very Good, G=Good, O=Ordinary, P=Poor, U=Ungraded

Decanted for about an hour. The color is ruby and the nose is muted showing dark fruit, leather, and hint of tobacco. The palate shows black currant and black cherry followed by black pepper, forest floor, and tobacco. It is of low/med acidity and tannins. The finish is OK with medium length. A medium body wine that is not very complex but it is elegant and well-balanced; good for everyday drinking. It is pretty much at it's top and I would not keep it for more than a couple of years.

Tons of fruit and earthy notes, leather, good balance although a bit thin for a Pauillac of this age. For the price provides a hint of the appellation, but I doubt it will last long. Doesn't quite deliver. too much something....

Deep garnet appearance. Lightly singed and dusty nose of red fruit, pencil shavings, bell peppers, and mulch. Red currants and raspberry fruit on the mid-weight palate. A subtle note of crushed rocks lingers on the finish. Great with food and a good introduction to Pauillac typicity.

I purchased the bottle for $15 at Trader Joe's not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised, it was an enjoyable bottle of Bordeaux! It doesn't have the depth or richness of a great bottle of Pauillac, but it definitely tastes of its appellation. It smells of red fruit and the earthy perfume I look for in Pauillac. No, it's not Pichon Lalande, but for the price it is excellent. A fun table wine, and a solid entry level Pauillac. Decant for an hour and drink over the next 4 to 5 years. 88-90

nez un peu vert signe de manque leger de maturité avec des fruits rouges et du bois façon tabac. Bouche en demi corps, sans grande personnalité ni complexité, en somme, assez neutre. fraîcheur en finale.

Pretty good $16 bottle of wine. Typical characteristics of the Pauillac region with some earthy notes, and a hint of tobacco.
