Medium red color. Funky nose, animal farm and dark red fruit. A hint of wood. Dark fruit on the palate, licorice notes. Good freshness and lift. By no means warm or overly ripe. Serious wine, plenty of life left.

Decanted half hour before serving. In the glass, nearly no bricking at rim. Dark ruby color. Nose of dark plums and slight stemminess. Not much earthiness as I was expecting. Taste: plums and dark raspberry. Tannins still provide very good grip, dry finish. Last glass fell off a bit, drink up.

A-typical nose with some mint, autumn leafs and old clothes in a case... For the vintage remarkably fresh. Good acidity and (raspberry) sharpness. Some of the Burgundy '03's I like have a more sweet, fruit driven body. This one hasn't.

med red to pale at rim; farm environs, earthy soil note, stewed red berries, red licorice; med+ weight; ripe red cherry confiture, loamy soil, baking spices, better than expected acidity, though still hits more bass notes than typically, tannins are resolved & integrated. this was better than anticipated & made fine company at the table.
grilled quail w/bourbon-blue cheese butter; collard greens w/homemade maple bacon

Nice wine. If only it were more expressive on the nose. Not much there. On the palate, nice layered, rich fruit with a hint of smoke goes to a fairly long finish. Smooth. Doesn't seem to have enough backbone for long-term aging. Perfectly suitable for drinking now.
