Has lost som freshness and taken on som tertiary aromas like black olives, hey and fennel the last year. Has become softer. Still a fullbodied Beaujolais with decent fruit.

Bastille Day Tastings-Mostly French (San Francisco): Fairly deep. Ripe nose. Big for a 2010, rich black cherry (indeed a liqueur aspect), gentle sweetness, but some back end tartness as well. Tasty, albeit more in a 2009 style and size.

A little CO2 dissolves into this luscious, meaty Bojo after you work some air into it. It has notes of violets, kirsch, cherry stones, charcuterie, tar and dried flowers. It is quite ripe and dense with a plush texture and real juiciness. I suspect it will age quite well as there’s plenty of good material and structure here.

Quite full bodied, tannic, dark red fruit. Find this a bit tough and unwieldy in richness. Needs richer food than I served it with (terrine).

Nicely secondary bojo. Got some mature gamay nose with a mix of mature red and black fruits on the palate. A little tannin and spice to finish.

Some spiciness. Cherry, cool ripe fruit and some mineral. Fullbodied for beeing a Beaujolais. Good structure.
