Very distinctly Chilean on the nose and palate. A full 4 years off the vine, and even after a 2 hour decant, shows a youthful, spicy rusticity typical to Chilean Cabernet grown on ungrafted rootstock. Moderately dark red color with an emerging light magenta rim. Some green vegetable on the nose with wet tree bark, charcoal and spicy black cherry. This is a value wine with medium plus body, modest, but mostly correct red fruit first like charred raspberry, then spicy blackberry. Fading a little as we drink down the glass. The acid and tannins are just starting to let some fruit shine through. Not for everyone's palate. Would easily tame a ribeye steak.

This is great for the low price...was worried, as looks over-marketed...was expecting fruit bomb...
Like last few notes - decent complexity and structure that makes this interesting. Nose is dark fruit with a touch of a meaty quality. Palate is medium bodied, nice acid, lighter tannin, a touch sour dark berry fruit. A touch of rose/floral quality comes through in mid palate and finish. Some light spice perhaps. Resembles a Zin? Perhaps, and a nicer, more balanced style. This is nice drinking now and will last a few years.

Dark garnet color. Expressive nose of dark fruit and berries with earth and spice elements. Flavor follows nose, fruit forward, distinguished by light earth tones and rather round, medium-light tannins.

I liked this, though it wasn't as fruity or tannic as a typical cab. In fact, it drank more like a zin for me - brambly, leathery, cherry and blackberry with a medium, relatively smooth finish. Very enjoyable, especially for the price.

- Garnet color with slow forming legs and aromas of oak and cut green grass. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry and lemon with a medium/full body. Leathery texture with a medium finish.

As one reviewer mentioned, the nose was short lived, after 2 hours, the wine was well balanced and quite enjoyable. Lots of red fruit, cassis, and a decent finish. I saw others mention $10/bottle which would have been good... at $17 I can do better, but it was still enjoyable.

Wow, what a nose out of the bottle! 20 min later, where did it go? It was complex, earthy, tobacco, chocolate, leather, with ripe juicy berries! Taste was amazing, I though I found a new fav! I was thinking 93+, Now I am questioning an 88. Never had a wine drop off so fast. Basically drink straight from the bottle before the delicate aromas die off and you'll love it. If you wait, it is disappointing. Bummer, wine buyer has this as a 90. Guess I can't trust their ratings. A little high priced for what you get. I have plenty of bargains under 7 that I like better.

Garnet, very filtered, and simple. Heavy in tannins and dry, this lacks the sweetness/fruitiness that I'm accustomed to from drinking Napa and Sonoma cabernets. Not so much complexity. I later discovered it's inexpensive at $10/bottle, but imho not a value, and I declined this wine the next time it was offered. Clearly, ungrafted roots are not a major boon to the taste nor aroma of a wine.

Aromas of brambles, blackcurrant, and earth with light spice and mint. Dark garnet-purple in color, very clear. Zingy cranberry, blackberry, and currant with hint of eucalyptus and a little mushroom in the finish. Decently structured, really not bad for a $10 bottle.

Surprisingly good for a $10 wine. Cherry flavors and chocolate shine through, with a smoothness that will prime the palate for a nice dinner at home.
Though lacking the depth and complexity that discerning vinophiles often look for, this is not a bad choice as a casual table cab.

Not bad for the price. A little rough but nice flavor and bouquet. Not too heavy.
