Still drinking quite well after 14 years. Cork was perfect condition. Wine color is ruby with clear edges and some loose fine sediment. Not particularly fragrant on the nose but the mouthfeel is smooth, balanced with cranberry, sour cherry and a nice aged element. Probably needs to be drunk in next 1-2 years.

I still love clone 777, still tasting great!! I agree with my previous tasting notes of the last year. A perfect cork after over a decade in the bottle, easily removed. Consumed this delicious Pinot Noir over two days and it held up well, great each day. Slightly oxidized ruby color with medium clarity. Great wine that aged well. My last bottle of this vintage.

Still tasting great, like the 777 I fell for years ago !! I agree with my previous tasting note, perhaps up one notch. A perfect cork after over a decade in the bottle, easily removed. Consumed this delicious Pinot Noir over two days and it held up well, great each day. Slightly oxidized ruby color with medium clarity. Aged well, this bottle shined on the second day. I still have one last bottle of this vintage to see how much longer this wine will develop.

Drink up, just past peak !! The 777 clone is my favorite Pinot Noir clone, but this bottle is on the decline. Still good after over a decade in the bottle. Consumed over two days and did not fall apart over 24 hours. Perfect cork, ruby red in color with minor oxidation. Aromas of rose hips and strawberry. Flavors of bright bing cherry and forest floor with a medium finish. Slightly more acidic than fruity, but pairs well with grilled salmon. The winemaker, Ben Papapietro suggested drinking all the 2009s over four years ago, but this 777 has done well with additional bottle age. I still have two more of the vintage in the cellar, so I will revisit soon to confirm this tasting note.

Dark ruby color. Satiny mouth feel. Plenty of cherry and black cherry fruit, then a bit of sour on the finish. Acidic in a pleasant way--cut through the richness of mushroom soup just brilliantly. But, not much structure or secondary flavors. Understandable why it's such a good component of a blend.

Seemed to be in quite good shape, even though I don't think of these wines as meant for much aging. A bit of toasty oak on the nose, some dark fruit and a little mintiness on the palate. Acidity is quite pronounced on the finish, I guess this could be offputting if you are not used that. There is abit of bitter char on the finish as well. All in all a pleasant surprise from another phase of my wine history.

Served at Thanksgiving Dinner with the Papapietro perry Nunes for a side by side. The Nunes had a bit more bright cherry, whereas the 777 Clones was a bit tarter, almost too tart, even with food. Both are on the downhill side, so drink now, do not hold.

PnP. Deep ruby. Open nose of flowers and red fruit. Approachable palate with strawberry and ripe cherries. Fruit forward. Almost sweet but not syrupy. True to place (RRV). Enjoyable.

Roses, cherry, yum, needed to breathe for a long time. Great with salmon, asparagus and zuchini salad with pine nuts and parmesan. Ripe, med finish, with more aeration it gets spicier.

A delicate pinot noir, fruit forward, well balanced, easy to drink. Brought to a restaurant with friends and they were all blown away. So smooth and delicious.

One of the best Papa's I've had. Perfect garnet/rose color. Great depth. Aroma has a hint of cinnamon giving a slightly spicy undertone. And then it gets exotic. Rich notes of sandalwood, earth, rosemary, strawberry combine to create a long and complicated finish.

Lush, full but not too-full...this wine epitomizes Papapietro Perry. Loads of berries yet enough minerality to keep it in balance. RRV Pinot at its finest!

Let this decant for over an hour. It was pleasant but did not meet my expectations. Bright fruits - strawberry, cherry and even some currants. But it lacked the structure and finish expected in a 90+ point wine.

PnP - nose of rich strawberry and cherry fruit, bacon, lavender, and a hint of mushroom. Taste was gentle and feminine with low tannins and acidity, very fruity, cherry, strawberry, no hint of alcohol showing. Some spice and again a hint of mushroom. Overall very enjoyable. Drink now or within 5 yrs.
This is a really nice wine and typical of PPP offerings. A dark rich ruby color with a juicy fruit and floral nose. Silky texture with notes of red fruits, spices and a little cola. Nice finish, smooth.... Wish had more. Paired with duck breast at Django in DSM.

Producer's Notes: Dark garnet color. Toasty oak, vanilla and spice on the nose. Great structure and balance surrounds flavors of wild berry rhubarb, spice and hints of floral. The wine finishes with a juicy, elegance that gracefully unfolds.

Fantastic! Light, creamy, silky, soft red cherry and raspberry fruit, some acidic bite on the back end. A wonderful experience.

If I could drink a wine like this at a reasonable price every night I think I'd be all set.
