A nose of some dark fruit and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium bodied red, with black cherry, raspberry, some pepper and and spice on finish, easy drinking, nothing complex. www.winelx.com

Powerful black fruits filled nose. Full of flavour with juicy act fruit filling the palate. There's a little earthy, savoury note that stops it from being jammy, the tannins are soft and velvety smooth and it drinks very well. A good value easy-drinker.

Deeply fruit driven wine, with strawberry, raspberry and rhubarb. A bit of spice thrown in the mix; this provides a mouthful of juicy fun. Very much in a "new world" style. While this went well with BBQ ribs, I suspect this might be a bit too simple by itself.

Predominately strawberry-rhubarb pie with some juicy cherry in the background. Nice graphite spine. Finish has surprising length and zip. Little bit of mint on the tail end hooks up with the cherry for a Halls cough drop effect, but it's not overbearing. Tasty and balanced; a lot to like here for the price. Has at least a few more good years in it.

Taste with H2 Vino at FHE.
Earth, medium dark fruit. Moderate body with a little oak. Not over ripe and some tannin on the back end.

GT wine magazine - top tasting - mcLaren Vale Reds (Oak Barrel, Elizabeth Street, Sydney): Ruby coloured. Sulphur, leather, black fruit. In the mouth juicy black and red berry, medium plus tannin, well structured, warm long finish. Big mouthfeel, slight mint. Very good but not my cup of tea.
