Similar to prior note after decanting at the restaurant, but likely would have benefitted from a longer decant as it continued to improve throughout the meal; outstanding, drink or hold

Color: dense purple core -> dark ruby rim. Primary bouquet of plums, raspberry, boysenberry and spicecake. Dark fruited palate showing crushed rock and a touch of tobacco. Light tannins, tremendously balanced and a long finish complete a pretty picture, but this is still far too young to my taste. Considerable upside given time . . . 93+ at a minimum.

A highly enjoyable bottle, but never thrilling, and probably would have benefited from a multi-hour decant, if not a few more years' time. Ripe, complex nose of pepper, licorice and herbs. Rich, velvety mouthfeel. Lush black fruit and pepper notes in the mouth, along with toasted vanilla, but faded a bit on the mid-palate and finished a touch short.

Fantastic wine. Had together with the Reva. Both great but Lorraine had a flamboyance that set it apart. Sappy, rich, and seamless. Creme de cassis and blackberries. Spicy and exciting. One of the best wines of the year. Almost up there with a 2005 SQN, Atlantis.

SQN - Legends: Alban style with jammy blackberry jam and plenty of vanilla and spices. The wine is quite dense and nice if you like that style. Not a huge Lorraine but still a nice wine. It did have an abundance of both sweetness and alcohol which didn't do it any favors in this vintage. The lack of balance and structure made it seem a not very classic Lorraine and very more comparable to the Reva in this case. Tasted as a blinder in SQN line-up so it did seem somewhat extreme and overly fruity but I still liked it for what it is.

Double decanted for 2 hrs, deep ruby blueberries on the nose, dark fruit, med. tannins, long finish; outstanding, drink or hold

Still quite lovely with big ripe dark black fruits and petty black charred spices. Yum.

Didn't take detailed note as I brought to a restaurant. Stellar wine and could have shined more if we decanted longer.
