At the end of drinking window. Nice, dark color, Zinfandel driven, sweet nose. Not overly complex. Some red berries, some dried fruit, some sweetness. Quite short but silky and sweet finish. Drink up - I doubt that it’s getting any better.

The aromas are complex and inviting, with lifted red fruit elements of raspberry and plum, as well as deeper bramble fruit notes and layers of vanilla, cream, nutmeg and cinnamon · A smooth, rich entry leads to sweet plum and lingering spice notes, with hints of cedar and clove · The wine’s lush texture is supported by resolved tannins that lead to a full, ripe finish.

Remarkable. Opens with huge fruit but has serious, perfectly melded tannin and tobacco notes. I would not have guessed that the blend is with CS; would have taken the second grape to be syrah. I'd say this is peaking but will be quite good for at least 4-5 years.

Aromas of blueberry pie, black raspberry jam, spice with just a whif of fresh cut herbs. Acidity holding, flavors showing tart black cherry, stewed blackberry, dark chocolate, softening tannins, slightly hot would drink up

Rich, ripe, and bold notes of fresh and roasted cherries, plums, cedar, vanillin, BBQ meat, and cocoa. This has a smooth texture, juicy acidity, Cabernet structure, and a bowl of cherries on the spicy, peppery finish. What a curious wine. It's definitely well made, very tasty, but the intense flavors turn richer, denser, almost excessive with air, yet it manages to stop just short of being a fruit bomb. Maybe time will help it decide what it wants to be.

Light and fruity upon opening. Decanted and used aerator to help open it up. Paired pretty well with sweet glazed chicken. This needs more time in bottle to hopefully make it more like prior vintages.

Coming together. Shows balance of fruit, tannins, finish. Another couple of years and it should hit stride. The 02's and 04's are drinking great right now.

Decanted for about an hour, though I doubt that had much of an effect. Some pepper on the nose, fruit-forward on the palate with some mild spice. Very enjoyable though the price seems steep for the relatively low complexity of flavors.

Very rich, ripe, bold and fruit-forward. Full bodied and concentrated with a very smooth texture and plenty of structure, highlighted by bright acidity. Mostly dark cherry flavors, but also with traces of cassis, spice and pepper. Very fruity, slightly acidic finish. This is like a caricature of an over-the-top, super-rich, super-ripe California wine. In spite of this, it somehow manages to be neither flabby nor cloying. Very tasty, but not really a style I enjoy.

They did this blend just right, with a fine balance of fruit, tannin, and heat on the finish. Will please a range of palates, and shines with food. Good PVR for Zin or Cab.

Excellent Zinfandel for this price range. Well constructed with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot carefully blended in. Fruity aroma that was unexpected. Slight spice at the start that is quickly mellowed by the blended counterparts giving this wines very polished fell with a delightful finish. Good stuff.

This is a dark inky Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel blend. The nose is black currant, black and white pepper, clove and a kiss of oak. This palate is full and chewy with wonderful fruit, a layered middle with a numbing long tannic finish. This is yummy give it a try. Drink now through the next 5 years and enjoy.

Not a strong impression on the nose, other than oak and a hint of plum. Palate was a strong mix of chocolate and plum, good acidity and minimal tannins. While not complex, the flavors are deep and substantial. Think Blasters, not Dave Alvin.

Lighter in colur than the Las Alturas Pinot! Deep ruby-Violet. pepper, black cherry, brambly raspberry & plum with some baking spice. It's a crowd pleaser.
