Notes from memory. Clean woody nose. High-toned and elegant. A little reticient and just a touch dryer than perfect on the palate. The fruit isn't gone. I drank 2/3s with coravin and the wine was still showing well after 24 hours unlike what would could have been the case. It felt a touch more expressive but again there is a cooler dryer feel versus the 2009.

Like fresh squeezed lemon and asphalt, with tiny allusions to honeysuckle. Quite nice and bracing mineral and acidity, which I love and expect in 2010. Nose greets you with a metallic mineral and struck match character that's pleasant, and a hazelnut quality. Finish is quite drying and ready for food. This bottle is, to my mind, just where a 2010 white should be at this stage. Poured a darker yellow but still some green flecks. This bottle was opened the night before and is still showing brilliantly half full on day 2. Pretty great, based on this bottle, if you like very dry wine.

Intense aromas of toasted pineapple, roast hazelnuts, and butter. Maybe a touch of honey and white flowers too. Rich flavours on the palate, more grilled pineapple, toast and butter. Generous acidity. Very long. Warm on the finish. Beautiful wine, which will no doubt benefit from more time in bottle.

Puligny-Montrachet Les Cailleret tasting with the Lunch Bunch: Most pale color of the group. Some lime, menthol. I originally thought oak, but I think just reduced aromas. Good minerality with some herbal notes. Very nice length.. This wine should be fine in time…just way too young to show well for me. My seventh and group fifth favorite (6.5 pts)

Westchester Wine School Premium Burgundy Tasting (Mamaroneck, NY): Drank blind at WWS tasting matched vs. a 2009 Corton Charlemagne from Jadot. I'll start by saying that I very much enjoyed both wines. The PM had a medium to light yellow straw coloring. Not much on the nose except for perhaps some faint vanilla and apple notes. Strong attack on the palate with an appropriate fruit level (apples and pears), though less obvious or apparent as with the CC. Nice balance here between the fruit, acidity level and complexity of the wine. Even though young, this wine is showing very well presently and will likely only improve over the next several years. The wine was medium bodied, leaner with less oak or vanilla than I detected with the CC. I enjoyed both wines very much, but favored the CC ever so slightly. The CC showed a pale to medium golden color. Wonderful, complex nose of tropical fruits, floral notes combined with a compelling freshness. Sweet, ripe pears on the palate, along with some vanilla notes & a very definite toasty quality which I found very appealing. Nice round mouthfeel, fuller bodied than the Cailleret, but still balanced with a solid acidity level. Overall, a delicious, powerful, yet well-balanced, complex wine, which also showed great length. It's only going to get better with bottle age. Wish I had some of each in my cellar.

Another lovely wine from la pousse d'or! Very pale with a reductive nose: delicate aromas of peaches, quince, vanilla, but all behind a stern nose of mineral dust. Tart, saline character offsets the rich fruit. Great potential...

The oak is prominent at the outset, but eventually mellows and blends in harmoniously with the orchard fruits and baking spice. This is really enjoyable and requires your attention as it evolves. Nice mineral-laden finish.

More stoney minerality than 2009, which was VERY tropical, so some may like this more. I think I like the pure hedonisim of the 2009. Extremely compex nose, amazing palate, very, very young, just peaking around the corner. Give the next bottle 2 more years. Whew. Takes the breath away.

Pousse d'Or Cellar Visit and Tasting (Volnay): Tasting at Domaine. Floral start with ripe orchard fruit. Poached apple flavors, with good density, good acidity and minerality coming through middle to finish. Should drink well young.

Lovely and mineral. Great acidity. Probably at peak but no major hurry to drink up. Perfect color. Definitely my kind of white burg.

Fruit is gone - flat and tinge of bitterness. Waited too long

Drank over a couple of days, and was beautiful throughout. Rich, intense aromas. Long harmonious palate. Divine.
