Superbement floral, texturé et délicat. Une belle fraîcheur et légèreté qui met en avant la minéralité du terroir. Superbe vin village à parfaite maturité, à boire dans les 2 ans max.

This is a lovely wine; red fruit with floral notes and just a hint of autumn leaves; fresh red fruits on the palate with a lovely lithe feel; some mineral notes with more air; I very much enjoyed this and while it seemed a touch more floral and delicate than you often see with Gevrey I could still place it there. Good stuff and drinking well now, but no rush.

Needed an hour or two to open up properly. Classic aged pinot with a cold fruity palate, intense and concentrated. Ethereal mouthfeel with velvet coating of dark fruit.

Wunderful matured village in perfect shape. Earthy and fresh bukett with integrated fruit, mineral and dense core by medium+ length that adds herbal fine tones. Very good for its level. Stylisticaly between charming and seriousity.

Underbart!

Very good fo a village wine. Very Burgundian in character more savor than sweet. Some fruit but not the main characteristic of the wine. Still drinking very well.

While this was an excellent wine and a good representation of Burgundy the only drawback was its lack of complexity. It had all the aromas, fruit, terroir, smoke, meat, blood characteristic of Burgundy alone with the palette. However, it never developed beyond primary flavors into the secondary and tertiary flavors so characteristic of great Burgundy. I would, however, purchase again.

PnP and slow ox for 45 minutes before dinner. Semi translucent ruby red color with only the slightest amber to edges. If, there is anything to "Gevrey earth" this is the poster wine. Along with the earthiness on nose and palate there in mineral, raspberry and spicy notes. This is still a few years from hitting its stride but should be worth at least a couple more points of excitement when it arrives. This is what they mean by "classic red Burgundy"! More savory then fruity at this point. Excellent stuff and nearly 92pts for me already. Weight, structure and balance are great. Just needs to flesh out and expand a bit.

This was very good, but needs a little more time; the nose is beautiful; classic Gevrey with dark berry fruits, gamy and earthy notes, hints of spice, and dark floral notes. The palate is good, but is a touch thin through the middle making the finish seem a bit short and sharp. This improved with air and I think it may continue to flesh out in bottle with a little more age. Overall a very good village level wine, but I was hoping for a touch more concentration.

Stunning wine, for a villages. Easily drinkable right now, it might get more refined over 2-3 years, but still, pop it and enjoy it. In my opinion, this is better than a Gevrey villages from Rousseau.

Herbal and earthy with dark cherries underneath. Tart and tight at first, it opens up nicely after about two hours. Certainly not hedonistic, but has got the structure and fruit to develop.

Beautiful Gevrey. From their oldest vines in Gevrey (planted in 1913), this 2010 shows an incredible minerality and finesse. Red berries with a little bit of darker fruit lurkin in the back, a hint of earthiness with the perfect acidity. Great wine.

Les Domaines Familiaux de Bourgogne (Paris): An bit herbal nose, far more classical than expected, very tart, strong acid, rahter serious village, a bit wild rugged, a bit harsh at this young age - great perspectives

La Paulée de New York 2013 Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion, New York): Lost my notes on the Trapet wines, but the entire lineup was very nice. I tried the Gevrey Ostrea, Gevrey 1er Alea (if I recall correctly), Latricieres, and Chambertin. I need to pay more attention to Trapet, and unfortunately I don't recall much in the way of specifics.

Mørke krydder, sjampinjong, knuste moreller, tanninbitt, med hint av noe brent i avslutningen. Raust og åpent og drikker glimrende.

Nice piercing intensity to the nose, lovely balance, smooth, good tension and depth without being fleshy or a blockbuster. "First rate," says Allen.
