Splendid, couldn't possibly as for anything more, all the more at this price range which seem quite insane. Stunning aromas of beautiful and sunny afternoon appreciating citrus, flowers, honey and spice(cloves) toast bread at the end as well. And on the palate a huge presence of generous and yet energetic back end with plenty of above qualities plus this unmistakably Jobard identity of slight honey wax(if I may describe this way) which make this wine gorgeous, as simply as that. It went so beautifully with butter sauteed shrimp with a touch of safran. Cheers,

Bruised lemon rind, roasted hazelnuts, olive oil, and BBQ pineapple. Good energy, but not shying away from the fact that it is likely at the apex of its drinking window. Drink now and over the next few years (if you want to still extract some vibrancy out of the mature yellow citrus core). Finishes slightly bitter, but with enough energy and flavor to keep it from being overly distracting.

Very nice mix between mostly lemon, slight passion fruit and melon, the wine is fresh and salty with good length, much lesser notes of oak as with Jobards 1er crus of 2010, beautiful wine which is full of life and dynamics.

Light golden. A thoroughly mineral wine on both nose and palate, complimented by tea, acacia blossom, pear blossom, apple, pear, slate, buttery toast creeping in with time, a hint of salinity on the finish with decent length.

Stone fruits, oatmeal, nuts and honey. Delicious palate that follows the nose so well. Balanced, full flavoured, long. Excellent showing, and held up well the following day too.

Quite a dark golden hue. Gunflint, spice, mineral, melon nose. Explosively intense palate with peach, mineral, spice, cream, almond butter, a creamy mouthfeel and very long, persisting like a lozenge. Gorgeous.

Opened with peach, cashew and honey aromas. The palate is fine and detailed, lush but not overdone. With time, there's spiced pear, honeydew, lemon, touch of Curacao. Lovely stuff.

Well isn't this quite a stunner. And no sign of pre-mox either. And an incredibly (incredibly!) long palate. Well, it took a long time but this is darn fine wine.

Crisp, full, rich - evocatively Meursault. Pear, citrus, cream, white flowers, a little lanolin. Rich and round. Successful now and should improve with time.

Getting 2015 Started Right (Concord, MA): Nose: Tropical pineapple, lemon curd, slight spiced pear and kettle corn notes. Palate: Gorgeous balanced wine with exquisite mouthfeel. Delivers beautiful apple, asian pear and some nice mineral inflections below the fruit. Balanced, not too fat for mersault. Finish: Long lingering meyer lemon, mouthwatering acidity and some sweet popcorn notes. Excellent!

Shockingly open and expressive compared to all the other Jobards that i have had. Which is also to say that it is quite beautiful. Classic, great tension and a singing finish. Great Meursault. Who knew they were this good?

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion - New York NY): Tasting. Nice floral start with ripe apple and pear along with new oak spice, background lemon hints. Orchard fruit again on palate with good balance with acidity and minerality in support. Moderate length and intensity.

La Paulée de New York 2013 (Metropolitan Pavilion, NYC): WOW big Jobard mineral and slight reductive sweetness; this had a bit of asphalt in an intriguing way--something that drives me wild in Meursault so long as it's not overstated. A big yes.

A lost Friday afternoon gathering – 75 Trotanoy, 07 Roumier BM and 10 Jobard Les Tillets that we all guessed at the Roulot. (Blacksalt, Washington DC): Served blind, very fresh and energetic nose displaying pure white and yellow fruits, lemon, lemon curd, apple, saline and limestone. Very precise, cool and energetic palate, very linear, bright acidity and a lovely long clean finish. We all are thinking that this is the Roulot.

Some More Wine with Meals in Burgundy; 5/11/2014-5/19/2014 (Burgundy): Orchard fruit aromas and flavors that start seemingly lush and ripe, but end with energy and precision. Good now, better in a few more years.
