Medium ruby, translucent at the edges. Savory dark fruit. A pleasant hint of bitterness. Nicely in balance — with good acidity. Fine-grained tannins. Quite enjoyable, starting to unfurl after a couple hours.

Vraiment Gigondas, slightly rustic, tremendous character and complexity with airy, dancing fruit, notes of funk and garrigue in spades. Light, with good acidity, cool. Beau vin.

Lovely, old-school Gig. Cool, red-fruited palate with herbes de Provence notes and sous-bois. Upright, good structure, not nearly as flabby as some of the Neufs can be in this vintage. Fully mature but will keep.

Still drinking nicely but wouldn't wait too much longer. Wonderful cedar, and sweet fruits on the nose. length was a little shorter than I would have liked but overall a very enjoyable wine.

marvelous, full-bodied, slightly tawny, sweet smelling of blackberries and damsons with nuances of new leather and old forest floors. Silky tannins, good acidity, harmonious and complex, perfectly balanced and structured for the long haul. Sorry this was my last bottle.

Bright Ruby red color. Nose of cherry cola. Pallet of cherry, white pepper, casis, blackberry, chocolate, cola, caramel. Predominately a fruit driven wine. As the wine opened, a little more leather au jus showed on the nose. Those aromas then followed through onto the pallet. Full bodied, smooth. Relatively long pallet, especially mid. Try again in 1 year.

Drank on Sevan's birthday. This is a wonderful wine with strong tannins which mellowed within one hour. Earthy, succulent, full of fruit. Amazing what this region can offer for the price.

Decanted for one hour prior to tasting...the fruit that was so present on earlier bottles is dissipating as are the tannins. Still has a very full and nice nose of earth and red fruits, albeit towards the dried end of the spectrum (prunes, raisins, figs). Rather full bodied with a nice mouthfeel and good balance. I have one bottle left, which I will likely drink within the next year.

Dark ruby colour. Aromas of prunes, raisins, spice, and leather. Medium-full bodied, with prune and raisin replays, and a touch of alcohol. Moderate finish, 30s, with dried fruit and alcohol. Drink now.

Dark ruby/burgundy colour. Aromas of white pepper, raspberry, grilled meat, buttercream. Medium-bodied, tannins very there. Raspberry, white pepper, and replays from nose. Short-moderate finish, 20s, with red fruit.

Decanted 1 hour. Dark ruby red colour. Aromas of raspberry, currant, cherry, violets. Full-bodied, with raspberry, currant, cherry, and earth notes. Tannins still quite present on the 30-40s finish that shows raspberry and currant. Could benefit from another year or two in the cellar.

Medium-dark garnet colour. Gorgeous legs. Aromas of raspberry, whiff of barnyard/earth, roses, blackberry, cinnamon, nutmeg. Full-bodied, surprisingly integrated tannins, showing raspberry, grilled meat, and cherry on the palate. Raspberry right through to the long finish, 40s.

Very well balanced: Extremely fruity, strong tannins and a taste of alcohol mean that this wine will benefit from another year or two in the cellar. Probably the most fragrant wine I have yet tried, extremely sweet red fruit, wife picked up some lead pencil. Dusty dry tannins on the finish, which last a good 20 seconds. Deep garnet color.

Delicious wine that needed 2.5hrs in a decanter to start to open up. Needs a good 3-5+ years in the cellar to be approachable. Grilled meat, dark fruit, flint, and toasted oak aromas. A little hot, with good fruit, nice legs and a long, lingering finish.

Not bad. Showing a little age, but not much. Still good fruit with spiciness and white pepper.
