Alsace and Austria Tasting: Lovely nose with floral musk and rose, pear, spice. Sweet fruit character works well with the saline and mineral line that cuts through. Full but with finesse. Improved a notch since the last time I tried this a year ago and should improve further.

This is foursquare and elegant in unison. Has the components to be quite thrilling in a few years, but at the moment edges towards the impressive over the enjoyable. Just off dry.

Annual Riesling Tasting 2014: Floral, turkish delight/rose water, spice and pear. I really like the restraint on the palate, the fruit only has a little bit of depth but it drinks so easily and the mineral element is refreshing.

Bibendum Portfolio Tasting: Lemon and pear with some light florals. Palate is heavily mineral driven with a coil of acid that really gives the palate some spark. Great stuff.

PnP that certainly would have benefited from an hour or two in the decanter. Backward, but structured. Fruits and petrol are buried deep at the moment, with modest aromas of white floral and minerals. Nearly medium-bodied, this has much fleshing out to do. I'm looking forward to tasting this in 3-5 years, but, with Weinbachs it's just damn hard to keep your hands off. Drink thru 2023

Flawed. At least, I think so? This had a bizarre bitterness running through it, but clearly nothing to do with cork taint, or oxidation. I don't really get what's going on here, but if this is the actual wine (which I can't imagine is the case?), wow, kind of unpleasant. I wish someone else had tasted it and posted a note for reference.

Served with dill salmon and green beans, this was way better with food than without. Pale straw color, nose of stone fruit, lemon rind, mineral. More minerality with fairly high acidity, light weight on the mid-palate. Medium length dry finish. A nice wine with food, should be around for years. Acid puts this slightly out of balance, and there is just a little more character that I would expect from this for it to merit a higher score. 13.5%

Lovely, but not drinking like previous vintages. Maybe I need to wait a little while for her to come around.

Rich and viscous with a sour, spicy edge.

Clean, bright, lemon lime pie, slight hint of sweetness, crowd pleaser.

Flowers and spice on the nose. Grapefruit and pineapple flavors with minerals and a touch of spice. An improvement over the 2009.
