WOW! Nice and smooth with great red fruit and a nice long finish. Decanted for 45-60 minutes. This wine certainly showed some of the best that Littorai has to offer.

Drinking beautifully! Lovely nose with layers of ripe red cherries, pine needles, and spice notes which evolve wonderfully on the palate with juicy acidity on the long finish.

5.5 years after the prior: Medium bright ruby. Savory, slate/ mineral, with a very pleasant suggestion of smoky pine needles. A touch of white ground pepper. This wine is harmonious, and to our taste, really singing right now. Perhaps the most enjoyable Littorai in our memory. Darn, our last. Extremely enjoyable over two nights, fading just a bit on the third.

This wine was very enjoyable, but will definitely improve if you wait on it a couple of years. It was medium bodied and full of red fruit like red cherry and Raspberry. It was a well balanced offering between its fruit and its terroir characteristics. The terrior was more clay and stone than it was dirt. Hold this one for a while.

PnP. Translucent light red. Airy nose of red fruits. Medium light texture on the palate but with the trademark Littorai beautiful balance. Sneaky persistence on the finish. This is quite lovely.

PnP. Very rich, red fruit forward -- prior description of cola on the nose is accurate. More wood than I expect from Littorai. A little too sweet, ripe, and oaky for my taste; not as balanced as usual. After 1 hour in decanter, didn't improve significantly -- cola character increased, wood more integrated. Day 2: improved somewhat, better integrated. Like a ripe nuits St. George's from a warm vintage; still noticeably hot (alcohol). Wood notes noticeable. Don't believe this will every fully come into balance.

Enjoyed this wine immensely. This vineyard is aptly named. Think big cherries with just a little cola up front...definitely nuanced. Also some loan and a little Garrique. Soft tannins that twist a bit through the body. Fruit comes and goes.

RICK2WINE says "There is a chance that fades and we get more leather, meats and forest floor with age." This one's getting there. Subtle cherry. Very Littorai,

Very fine Littorai representation although not as good as '09. Nice cherry nose as is appropriate for the 'cerise' vineyard. Touch too much oakiness on the finish for me, although the wine certainly improved with each glass. My error was only decanting for 45 minutes...think this could have benefited from a 2 hour decant. Perfect pairing with a shiitake omelet.

Drinking very well here but will age well. I'm going to hold my remaining bottle to see how e cherry notes develop. To me this wine is well balanced but just a touch more red forward fruit than I'd prefer. There is a chance that fades and we get more leather, meats and forest floor with age.

Opens with a slight funk. Cherry, leather, and some forest floor. This is pleasantly fruity but not aggressively so; the fruit blends well with other elements. The wine has lively acidity, and slightly savory finish. I had no info before drinking (other than the wine being a Cali pinot) and was impressed.

Medium garnet color turning rust at the rim with a transparent edge. The nose has a lifted character with notes of Nubuck leather, earth dried flowers, and dried berries. The palate exhibits medium density and a silky texture showing flavors of dried red cherry, raspberry, leather, dried herbs, and tobacco. Very balanced with appropriate acidity that adds a nice backbone to the structure. Finishes long with hints of spice and dried thyme. Drink now with 15 minutes of decanting until 2020. 93++

Light in color. Somewhat muted nose, which opened and improved over time and three dinners (gassed and refrigerated in between). Cherry, mineral. Very good and bright acidity. Just a touch of forest floor. Overall, not quite as impressive as we recalled from a prior tasting at the winery, but still very nice. No, this is not Burgundy, but still it's a lovely example of cold climate California pinot noir.

I think needs more time to really come together. Darker fruits, a bit heavier, just a touch of alcohol coming through on the finish. Hopefully that melts away with time.

PnP. Medium clear red. Nose of red apple, cherry and a little spice. On the palate nice weight echoing cherries on the finish with good balance. A bit young but nice drinking now. Much better than a 2010 Hirsch from a week ago which likely was a bad bottle in retrospect.

Black cherry fruit with a dusting of powdered sugar, apple skin, some stemmy forest floor notes. More savory on the palate, with the black cherries balanced by good acidty and a nice meaty quality. Very refined tannins, not especially extracted or structured, airy but just enough tannin to have some grip. Not as outright pure or pretty as a 2010 Littorai Hirsch consumed recently, but still nice.

Cherry-berry as the name suggests. Extremely well made. Soft and supple. Beautiful. Have to have with food. I would rate this much higher if it the cherry was a little less in the face. Blue Hill.

Corked :( extremely muted fruit, little to no nose. A little disappointed - it was a recent library purchase from the winery.

Liked it very much but it failed to pass as a Burgundy. Too much ripe fruit flavours and a bit of malo-milk. Fine acidity though.
