Deep ruby with garnet rim. Clean nose of medium plus intensity. Aromas of toast, cedar, meat, fruit preserves, wet stone. Fully developed wine. Dry, medium plus acidity, medium tannins, medium plus body, medium alcohol, pronounced flavors of umami, cooked black fruit, bitter chocolate, cured meat. Finish is medium minus. Very good wine, in the perfect place now. Can be aged further, but I doubt will be much better.

Unfortunately well past its prime, but still drinkable - the Cherry and dark fruit notes have gone well past ripe and almost have a "rotten-sweet" characteristic to them, the underlying pepper/dusty Earth combo is more forward than a traditional Bordeaux would age with.
It's still a good wine, just wish I'd have opened it a year or more ago

I bought a case from the winery in 2010 and enjoyed the bottles over time. I just had the last bottle and found that it's on the downward slide. It's still an enjoyable wine, but the fruit, tannins, and acid have faded and the tertiary notes have taken over. I would have previously scored this in the low 90s. Drink now.

No longer a traditional cali cab. Has mellowed - too far for me - into something reminiscent of an aged Bordeaux. Still, very nice with a meal, but definitely on the decline.

Very soft and smooth. If you're looking for a big and bold Bordeaux blend, this isn't the one. If you're looking for more of a French style, this may be it. I prefer the 2006 vintage which has more complex things going on.

A Labor of Love (and wine and beer) (Our home): Great showing for this wine. It was well received by the crowd despite being opened late. The nose has cassis, dust and dark cherries. Great balance. A bit of earthiness. Cassis and earthy on the palate. Great texture. Long finish.

From memory a week ago... Deep dark color, heavy bodied, slightly hot, tons of fruit. Seemed to have years to go, which may improve it. Not bad, just not my style.

The '05 Andrus was wonderful. We did not have a decanter, so we let it breath in the bottle for a couple of hours. The wine accompanied a meal of mahi mahi, and was a little heavy for the fish. However, it had a hardy nose, a crisp purple color, and a taste of black cherries and plums.

Great color... dense purple to the rim. Heady, sexy nose, it reflects the tobacco, blackberry, currant, and plum on the palate. Nice length and balance. I'd wait a year if I had more but the price make that an issue.

Great color, nose a bit dusty and past its prime. Drink now. I like the story most of all with this wine.

Hard to beat - great on the nose, and the palate. Tannins well integrated. Really great.

Raspberry, blueberry, rose pedals, perfume. What a great cab. Hint of Rutherford.

This is drinking perfectly right now. Tannins quite smoothed out. Rich fruit, but deep and complex. A real pleasure. No need to wait.

Excellent bottle. Dark fruits, heavy body, big legs, slightly complex flavor profile, and silky mouthfeel. Smooth long finish. Some sediment.

Had at Winery. Fruit forward typical Pine Ridge Red. Not as "chunky" or complex as 2006. Would buy 2006 versus this one at same price.

Nice balance, a typical "PR" wine, modest fruit and lots of oak. Not terribly complex but nice and ready to drink. Tasted at the winery.
