Winehound, Santa Barbara- European Wine tasting 7/20/13; 7/20/2013-8/2/2013: Notes of apple, citrus, honey and butterscotch. Nicely bright on the palate with highlighted fruit and earthy spice texture. Friendly, yet complex. Silky and round through the back of the palate, with a big finish. Very nice.

Off the wine list at Book Bindery, Seattle. Luscious pears and lemon, with good acidity and minerality. Like a baby Hermitage with a Priorat twist. Full bodied, heavy weight, long finish. Highly versatile against both the sturgeon and the pasta with mushrooms and and fois gras sauce.

At Etapes. Light crisp and smooth. Good sweetness, hint of lemon and minerality. Very nice balance but a tad thin and simple.
