I hardly drink any whites from the US anymore but this is pretty good and interesting. A slight whiff of diesel on the nose that fades with air. Some floral notes too. On the palate the wine is soft textured but then finishes with crisp acidity. Some pear, melon and blanched almond.

Tercero Dinner #2 in the OC with Larry Schaffer (A Restaurant In Newport Beach, CA): Similar to the 2009 with the diesel/petrol note, although lighter in aromatic volume than the 2009. I find more citrus and acidity here compared to the 2009, with the melon notes leaner and more focused, too. Acidity is very present. Shows the signature of the vintage.

Wow! Intense nose and flavors. Grapefruit and wet stones, white flowers. All kinds of sensations. Terrific acidity too. 1/2 bottle for tomorrow. Delicious stuff!

Day 1 - Central Coast Tastings (Central Coast - CA): I was very fond of this. Beautiful crushed stones on the nose with some pear and melon notes. The palate was super fresh and savory at the same time. Probably the best Grenache Blanc I've had from the US.

Came off a bit heavier than Larry's other whites, but still with good balancing acidity. Agree with the other note that mentioned nectarine as a descriptor. Very good, but not nearly as enjoyable as the 2011 Outlier Gewurtz that immediately followed this.

Tercero Dinner - Now we're all uncomfortable (FMIII in the OC): Clear color. Slight sour flavor and light diesel as expected in a tercero GB but less petrol than previous vintages I tasted. Fruit is nectarine and tree fruit. Got a bit of a savory finish.

White cheese, hot dog, flowers, hint of green apple, dynamite mouth feel and some great acid.

Tercero Dinner in the OC with Larry Schaffer (My House In The South OC): Discussion at the table surrounding the petrol note on the nose. Adds a distinctive quality. Green melon, what I thought was a hint of strawberry and a soft palate.

Jersey Girls Road Trip - A Story by the Chauffeur; 4/27/2012-5/2/2012 (Solvang, CA): Barrel sample. Looks like '11 is shaping up for a great year. Dominated by grapefruit aromas and a zippy grapefruit taste. Sharp, clean finish.
