Lovely wine. Opened with initial obvious American oak, but immediately integrated. Medium-bodied, fully mature but still showing lovely notes of red fruits - cherries, strawberries. Fully integrated tannin, elegant in the mouth leading to a pretty, satisfying finish with light mocha and mineral notes.

Initial whiffs of American oak settled down after brief decanting, leading to a lovely, savory drink with melted, integrated tannins, seamless interplay of red fruits, tobacco, and earth. Time to drink up.

Medium/deep ruby core, medium width garnet rim. Medium + intense bouquet, developed and opening out within an hour of opening to reveal blackcurrant, leather, vanilla and hints of coffee and tobacco. On the palate the tannins still have some bite, but are not unpleasant and there is medium acidity. In terms of fruit there is reasonable intensity with blackcurrant, leather and tobacco and a medium lenght savoury finish. This is good now and will probably hold for another 1-2 years.

Burghound in Asia (DRC vs the World Blind Tasting) (St Regis, Brasserie Les Saveurs): Balanced and fine fruits. A nice wine.

Heritage: Very mellow, smooth and med. big body, but firm texture. More subtle berry notes. Good, more elegant than crianza.
