Final bottle. Deep garnet. Damsons, spice nose. Some residual dark fruits on the palate with tar, leather & forest floor. It’s been an enjoyable relationship with this wine. Coming to the end of its drinking window but probably ok for another couple of years.

Deep garnet. Floral, dark fruits, black pepper, spice nose. Similar palate, medium tannins, well balanced, long finish. Still drinking well. One bottle left, save for 2022.

Tapanappa is a Franco-Australian collaboration, and the wine shows it. Black cherry and plum, vanilla, smoky and cedary notes, fine tannins. Very good.

This is drinking well enough now but it's not exactly soft. There's a black fruit palate but it is backed by plenty of tannin. Editing this note because the wine is softer and richer after 24hrs under vacuvin. The fruit is showing more Sweetly ' now, getting almost porty and I'm also getting a bit of pepper from the Shiraz. I find it hard to forecast how this will evolve but there's still plenty of everything there.

very dark, very intense and in your face. not quite ready and still very primal. This wine does have potential, very firm tannins and lots of fruit (nice mix of cassis and prumes/raisins). Will be interesting to see how any secondary aroma's will develop in this wine over the next few years.

Deep ruby with purple edges. Soft aromas of sweet plum and dark berries from the glass extending to a silky, delicate, Bordeaux inspired palate. Low acid. Medium weight. Well-integrated slightly drying tannins. With food the finish is quite short, but by itself there is a light but persisitent aftertaste of fruit cake and red current. Not your average Aussie red!

Chateau Lynch-Bages Wine Dinner with Monsieur Jean-Charles Cazes (The Petroleum Club, Sky Lobby, Dallas, Texas): Very good potential here, but tonight, it was very young and not ready. The complex tannins would seem to indicate a bright future for this wine.

A mixed dinner at home (Home, Hong Kong): Not as heavy as expected and the better for it, intense aroma and lovely balance with notes of plums and chocolates.
