Straw yellow, clear. Bright, fresh, grassy, slightly buttery on the nose. Medium-light body, bright, zesty, with gooseberry, lemongrass, hint of pineapple. Surprisingly flavorful, given its age. Expected it would be further from its prime but still very drinkable and pleasant.

Perhaps a little late for this wine, but had it with fish and scampi and it matched really great. Right after opening a little neutral, but opened nice, ripe and fresh at the same time, good acidly aftertaste, slightly salty. My first Rias Baixas Albariño and a nice experience. I'm looking forward to the next one!

First night: Light and refreshing. Very fragrant with some floral and melon notes. Lots of shifting fruit on the palate, lemon and grapefruit, apples, peaches. Well balanced but not super zingy. Second night: Still good but duller.

I can see why lots in the wine world are excited about the Albarino grape being the next new thing. There are flavors and aromas that are totally unique, and fairly difficult to describe. The first impression is very "Old World" with more non fruit impressions on the nose and palate. I'm at a loss to know how to describe what I am tasting. It does taste good. My first thought is water melon rind. meets not quite ripe pear skin. That is not enough to describe the out lying flavor profile, but it is a start. The fruit with varietal is surrounded by flavors that we don't find any where else. I am getting a light touch of olive brine meets gooseberry. Very young and refreshing. Plenty of balancing acidity. Unique and fun.

Pale color. Aromas of grapefruit, citrus, and green apple, developing soapy floral qualities with air. Good acidity with flavors of citrus, apple and peach. Correctly guessed Albarino.

This wine comes with a screwcap - which I don't mind. Color is bright lemon in hue with flashes of green. Flavors of pear, white peach, red apple and nectarine combine with herbal citrus note on the finish. Crisp, lively and dry. Well-balanced with a creamy honey mouthfeel.

Decent, if a bit simple. Rather too mellow, I think. There's some nice peachy fruit here but it has to be quite chilled to stay refreshing, as it just doesn't have the acid zip or slight tartness that I normally want in a Rias Bajas.

Popped and poured to have outside on a warm day, then finished off the next night with grilled tilapia. This has lime, green apple and some minerals. A bit too tart and citrus, though - it seems to "bite" too much.

A custom cuvee for Eric Solomon made at Martin Codax. Melon aromas. more high toned citrus on the palate. Lime. Med/+ body. Easy acid profile. Too easy?

Very pale golden color. Modest nose of pear, apple, white peach, and linden blossoms. Flavor brings a medium-light body with some energy and refreshing acidity. Medium finish. Nicely balanced. Refreshing sipper alone, and went well with fried northern pike (a freshwater predator fish) spritzed with lemon. Excellent QPR.

Longueur surprenante. 84/85

Decent everyday Albariño. Crisp, nice minerality. On the simple side. A good summer sipper on a hot day. Best when really chilled.
