medium yellow - slightly copper. Slightly oily appearance when poured. Too cold initially but once warmed the nose is licorice, floral, sea shore. Full bodied, broadly fruity and bread flavours but not terribly detailed. Some alcohol on the finish and the acid is soft. Kinda pricey for what's in the bottle.

This is really pretty tonight with a fairly unctous mouthfeel to the stone and tropical fruit flavors. There's also plenty of minerality along with some anise and nutmeg notes. This isn't one of the big hitter cdp Blancs, but it is delightful and a really good qpr.

Medium yellow. Flowers, dry straw, soil, peaches in the intriguing nose. Richly textured, savoury first and fruity second, minerality is third. The acid is slight, resulting in a certain dullness in the finish. Really interesting and worth rebuying.

Very nice tonight with good depth to its stone fruit and tropical fruit flavors. There's a firm minerality and some nutmeg notes floating through the background along with enough acidity at its core to keep the roundish mouthfeel from being flabby. Very well done for this price point.

Nose: There's a real noticeable mineral quality to the nose along with papaya, melons, crisco, white peaches, and citrus notes.
Taste: Medium/full bodied with refreshing medium+ acidity. There is a good fatness to the feel and mid-palate with papaya, minerals, crisco, and white peaches.
Overall: This is an excellent CdP Blanc. There is a really good feel with crisp acidity.

Second Sunday Group: 2000 Bordeaux (R&D's): Light yellow color. Citrus, lemon, stone and melon notes. Rich texture, with flavors of spice, toast and pear. Guessed domestic Chard.

We enjoyed this -- a stony nose with some citrus, Rand thought it smelled like wet sand. The palate is lovely but subtle, with good length. Best to have with some food -- our artichoke salad was a good match. In exploring Rhone whites, we preferred this to a white Chave St. Joseph 2009... it's South vs. North, so maybe that says something about what we're preferring. Would buy again.

Another K&L Rhone Tasting (San Francisco): Pale. Pear and floral aromas. Medium weight. Sweet citrus entry, bright acidity, so so concentration, dry, mineral finish.

Nice white. Nose is fairly reticent but some floral scents come through. Intense on the palate though, chalky minerality, some white fruit, sharp acidity, with a finish that lingers and reminds one of a sparkling wine.

This is not a powerhouse CDP blanc, but it is delightful. This wine has nice depth and concentration to its stone fruit and tropical flavors. There's good acidity and minerality at its core. The finish is abit clipped.

First white cdp for me. After pnp the first half glass just had a wild taste like all the flavors where on overdrive. After i let it breathe some and the next day as well after vac-u-vin all was in line. High acidity. Pear and apple flavors. Smoothes out in mid palette. But more of a food wine than a sipper

Nose: very fruity! Notes of pear, banana, faint pineapple, green apple. Wet stone and sea spray. Very attractive nose. Taste: dry, medium body, high acidity. Very lengthy finish that sweetens towards the end. Notes of green pepper, pear, star fruit, stone/chalk, brioche, tart yellow apple, slightly vegetal. Acidity dissipates on the finish, lingers nicely. Very refreshing; made for food.

nose: aromatic, pear, banana, pineapple, starfruit, stone, clean asparagus water, spinach, and ice tea. Taste: Dry, high acidity. Clean taste with stone, green veggie, white pepper, potato, and tart apple. A little starfruit and warm finish despite the acidity; thus the transition to the finish is smooth. A little bready. More of a food wine than a sipper. Very clean taste.

Grand Rhone Tasting (K&L Wines, San Francisco): Full yellow. Aromatic and floral. Ripe, spicy peach. Rich feel but not too heavy due to good level of acidity and an earthy finish. I am not usually a fan of white southern Rhone wines but found plenty to admire in this one.

Crisp for a Chateauneuf, but nicely round and full at the same time. Lots of citrus and pears on the nose and palate, with a long and pleasant finish.

Popped and poured. Reticent nose which was offset by lots of flavor. Medium dry. The crowd really liked it.

25% rousanne, 25% grenache blanc, 25% bourboulenc, 25% clairette. This wine sees no oak and no malo. Very bright, fruit forward, good acidity.
