Wonderfully balanced and probably at its peak. Medium (+) acidity, medium (+) mouthfeel, medium-bodied, nice clean finish. Very tasty, great by itself of with a warm goat cheese salad with walnut oil dressing.

Citrus, chalk, and crayon aromas. (Bitter melon, T.E.D.? Hmmm, that might be it!) Non-blind, I could smell the gun-flint. Attacks and finishes with pungent grapefruit. Thin sauvignon blanc mouthfeel but full of presence with lively acidity.
Interesting that so many people found this flabby. I found it fairly lean and mean, though less so than many good New Zealand sauvignon blancs.

Citrus, schist and bitter melon on the nose. Palate is tart and and somewhat cloying from the oak or lees perhaps? Not as refined as other bottles I have had. Citrus and peel finish.

Blind tasted. Got candied honey, apple, mushroom, whiff of something plastic. Thought riesling at first, but then settled on Vouvray. Tough one to guess.

Clear with med-lite viscosity in the glass. Closed nose of citrus and grass. Med-lite body with watered-down lemon oil and soggy herbs. Flabby at all temps. Short finish.

Loads of dusty, chalky minerality along with elements of evergreen forest on the nose and palate. Very earthy. Still shows hints of bitterness behind the dust fest. Very good acid, solid finish. Very, very nice!

On the weighty side of Loire whites on this varietal. Citrus, apricots, nectarine, with hints of melon or cucumber. This is even more about minerality; it shows limestone, shale, and chalk. Nice mouthfeel and better than average finish. I found some distracting, greenish, pips and stems-like bitterness, typical of Sauvignon Blanc blends from Bordeaux. Otherwise, score it 91-92.

Medium-bright yellow color. Aromas of tangerine, lemon, lime, and flowers. Palate has citrus fruits dominating with lemon curd and rocky, floral notes emerging on a medium-long finish. This comes off on the sweet side of the equation with none of the herbaceous or cat pee qualities typical in the Loire. Delicious and seemingly structured to develop or hold for a few more years. Drink or hold.

Flowery nose with notes of citrus and saline. Nice acidity with lemon, grapefruit, saline and minerals. Love this wine. Could drink all night, like drinking mineral water with lemon. Gets better as you drink it.

Bright yellow color. Aromas of lemon, grapefruit, peach, and flowers. Palate has sweet-tart elements of lemon, grapefruit and peach with a mineral character that carries into the lime-centered medium-long finish. This is crisp and refreshing and to expectations as long as expectations are not for one of Didier's wines. Drink or hold.

wanted to love it but it again left me bored. good acid and fine with food but ultimately too simple to excite.

Sunday Brown Bag Tasting: 2000 Grand Cru Red Burgundy (Rich & Dana's): Light straw color. Banana, tropical fruit and apple aromas. Steely, with lemon and white fruit flavors and an astringency on the finish. Guessed Chardonnay.

Intense citrus and mineral notes both on nose and palate. Tart lemon, white peach and crushed grey stone. Not bracing acidity, but enough.

At Ken Griggs dinner. light, crisp, great minerality, citrus/lemon on the finish. Would be a great pairing wine with seafood, shrimp or sushi
