Everything about this says "white Burgundy," from the fruit profile to the oak treatment. Is there anything remarkable about it? Not really, but points for typicity and balance, which is sometimes more than you get at this price point. 86.

Is this what today passes for a weeknight white Burgundy? An enchanting nose suggesting Meursault that hits the tongue as sugar water strained through oak chips. Watery pineapple and apple hints. Perhaps some orange, but it's hard to tell. Even with time in the glass -- flabby and absolutely devoid of acid, making this a summer sipper but only if chilled to within a few degrees of freezing.

Light gold color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. This started off with a light citrus nose and was flat and watery on the palate. It really had a rather remarkable turnaround after about 15 minutes in glass. The nose evolves to show apple, melon, and light tropical notes. The palate is nicely tart with citrus, apple, melon notes along with good minerality. Hmm, pretty nice village wine. 88-89 pts.

Crisp, correct, but rather diffuse/weak.

Simple but not as much as the price would suggest.
