It would be dishonest to say I didn't like this GC Chablis - but albeit at the lowest rung of excellence, the value for money based on cellarTRACKER members' costs is poor when one could readily buy lesser level Chablis from better vintages that would match or surpass this in quality at a fraction of the $60 community cost. White cherry and crisp apple with a twist of lime zest and a significant mineral spine. A good effort for the vintage but see above. Fortunately I picked up my singleton bottle in a charity auction for $31. Drink up before the core acidity gives out.

France 2013 - Chablis (Chablis): Tasted at the Domaine. Delicate nose of fresh fruits, white flowers and hints of banana. Elegant on the palate with nice apple and citrus flavour with decent acidity. Finish is a tad short but overall this is very nice. Will need a few years. Excellent. 90+

Good, classically styled Chablis. Ripe fruit, showy style, broader palate and fruit notes all while maintaining the crisp and searing acid that young Chablis need.

Wildman New Release Burgundy Tasting (Trump International Hotel - Chicago IL): Tasting. Sensational aromatic start with white summer flowers, lemon peel, orange peel and ripe apple with subtle spice hints. Apple on palate with some meyer lemon and faint tropical hints. Very lush, long and enticing. A notch above the Clos for me tonight.

Drank from magnum and even because of that it’s still closing in in full
Maturity. Lovely wine but closer to Premier Cru

Lean style, ready to drink. 2011 is not a year I enjoy from Burgundy.
