Tuscany WIMPS 2023 (La Trompette): Like it's Galatrona flight mate this also had quite a subdued nose but a little more open. On the palate this had round, tangy plum and the tannins were more approachable. Good but not quite what i'm into.

A couple of years older than the previous bottle. These are really neat Tuscan wines that I am really not sure I would ever have guessed were Tuscan wines! Old world meets new world style. Medium-plus body. Black cherry preserves and some roasted plum. Gets a little bit dirty in the middle. Still seems to have quite a bit of a stiff tannic finish. I think this one easily has 10 or 15 years left and really not even sure that it is in the optimal window just yet. Drink with a 1-2 hour decant, or hold!

Great showing tonight, but still needs time to really burst out. It will surely gain a few points down the road. Not the best of vintages, but this is very promising. As always - Le Macchiole delivers, Bolgheries perhaps best producer, imo.

Deep, dark and juicy with some licorice and BBQ like flavors. This will become great in the future but right now it is way too young. Wait at least 5-10 years. Strong tannins right now.

Occasional tasting group (By TBa @ WN Top South America plus some extra's.): Just limited notes. In the bouquet concentrated dark forest fruits and luxurious oak. On the palate a very round and friendly wine with good fruits, fresh acidity and round, slightly drying tannin. A luxurious wine which needs some more ageing. 2020+ For tonight 92+

Great old world nose. This wine is a 92-93 now but I think will be 95 in a few more years. Still needs some time

Italian and Spanish tasting (Watson's, Hong Kong): 100% Merlot.
Blueberries on nose. Rich and round. Can age.
