This bottle was showing well, still young - no signs of oxidation, and the acids were nicely integrated. Not sure how much longer I will keep my remaining bottles but paired with the right food, still a delight.

White night with friends: Great palate of ripe apple, peach, honeycomb. Nice acidic balance. The nose is holding this back from a higher score, it was quite muted the whole evening.

Quite special. Med>Dark straw color; bright and clear. The nose is sweet, ripe, with fleshy orchard fruits and crunchy minerals at the base of it all. Superb acidity keeps it all well-lifted, well delineated. Some almond butter and honey are a nice contrast to the tangy, elegant fruits. Not the most complex package, but wows on the palate with loads of finesse and purity. I've one left that I'll let age for some years. 13,5% abv., recommended
PnP, served non-blind.

My first introduction to this producer and a great one at that. Started off rather simple in terms of aromatics, but seemingly classic chenin blanc. What was more interesting was the radical shift between two different personalities--it started off as tight, firm, mineral-driven and bracing with beautiful acidity but blossomed toward a tutti-frutti explosion with noticeable sweetness that was completely absent in the introduction. A fascinating wine that evolved over the course of an evening. Pairing with food (specifically a parsley pea risotto with oven roasted Jerusalem artichokes) brought the fruit out quite a bit. Delicious chenin.
Whoa a lot oakier than I'd've imagined, but still some noble fresh fruit. This needs at least a couple years I'd guess. Yup here we are via Justerini website: "Ever searching for the perfect expression of his beloved Chenin Blanc, Thibaud now ages this cuvée in one and two-year-old Burgundian 225 litre barrels and new 500 litre barrels. He is actively looking for a touch more oak influence to give the wines a slightly more ‘sexy’ quality. " Not sure I agree the oak is sexy. Give me Chidaine.

I know that Jancis Robinson gave this a 15.5 (out of 20) but I really enjoy this wine. I think you need to let this wine breath and warm up a bit from the cold refrigerator to get the best out of it. Pale gold in color with a nose that is medium minus in intensity. Aromas of honeysuckle, pineapple, peach, lemon, and mineral/slate. Also a dairy/yogurt note which makes me think this was aged on its lees. The palate is similar with a strong initial attach of lemon meringue, green apple, honeysuckle and lemon curd. While there is a slightly sweet element to the attack, the finish is bone dry and intensely mineral. Everything is in balance and I really enjoyed the complexity. The wine evolves on the palate, sort of like you were drinking one of those layered shots/drinks, where you get all sorts of different flavors and experiences between the start and the finish. Purchased from Garagiste for $29.
Honeyed aroma with grassy undertones, with an aroma I can't quite describe: think white truffle, pecan pie, malt (as in the stuff you put in a malted milkshake), almond. Mercurial on the palate with a feel that is both syrupy and sparkling, a flavor that is at once honey and lemon, and a with a long cleansing acid finish.

Signs of oxidation. Dark gold/amber color. Tastes past it’s prime and not near as good as last time. Mostly just getting underripe tart fruit.

Getting a little long in the tooth at this point. Fruit as well as acidity has softened, color has darkened, and a bit of oxidation has appeared.

Punchy, pure, and balanced. Pretty nice, but not as nice after a day.

Lemon with some spice in the nose. Needed to warm up a bit. Plenty of acidty and floral notes coming out a little.

The body is Medium. The wine has Bright texture. The wine finishes Long. Great acidity and minerality. I thought it a Puligny Montrachet Jerry's white.
