Monthly Tasting Group: Blind Worldwide Chardonnay (COV, Edina, MN): Medium gold color. Drank a small glass single blind over an hour plus. Lot of minerality here, wet stone, rich, lemon custard, dulce de leche, spicy and a little lacquer. Called this as my wine. Good, but it was better a couple years ago. 91+ to 92pts.

Nez impressionnant qui annonce bien. Note de noix grillées.

Clear, pale, lemon, bright, tears; nose: clean, med+ intensity, yellow fruits, pear, peach, pineapple, lemon zest, floral notes, vanilla, oak, toast, light cream, a tint of roasted hazelnut, good minerality, developing; palate: dry, acidity med+, alcohol med+, med body, med+ intensity, same aromas like in the nose, plus green apple, a little bit smoky and salty, finish med+. Very good, can drink now, but has potential for aging. Rich, warm, round wine with a creamy texture.

Lime-green yellow on the eye. Fairly standard for Olivier Leflaive, which works for us. Aromas of oak, some wet river stones and ripe citrus. A touch tangy, rich, medium-bodied and hints of toasted oak. Fairly straightforward, lemon-like finish. We prefer more toasty oak and vanilla cream of other Olivier Leflaives, but this is mucho pleasant

This wine was pale gold in appearance. The nose was wholesome with aromas of walnuts, pecans, lime zest and Chinese pears. The entry was slightly abrasive as a result of frontal acidity, but the fruits ease their way into the mid palate with flavours of lime, white peaches and chalky limestone. The finish is round with ample fruits that linger.

My favorite wine of the 2011 Olivier Leflaive portfolio. Elegant and lively with pineapple, minerals, flint, apricot marmalade, ocean and salt. This has some QPR and should drink well soon upon release and for several years after.

Nice complexity. Lemongrass, citrus, lime, orange peel. Very mineral driven but to my taste fully mature. Just on the spot where I prefer it. 92-93P

Drank along with 2011 Ch Margaux, in comparison, white would be better and forward than red, and more enjoyable in this 2011 vintage.

Annual Summer wine event featuring Brisket (Steve and Jennie's): This is a wonderful taut white burgundy. The minerality of wet rocks dominates. There is the essence of golden fruit, and it is not that fruity. There is great balance here.

Light gold color. Small glass over 20 minutes. This was totally mineral driven, just tons of great dry extract, lemon, tart and so taut. Loved it.

Un nez qui est invitant, mais soudainement plus rien en bouche. Aucune puissance, longueur, complexité. Un vin bien décevant pour son prix

Palais de Congres: Des Grands Vins de Bourgogne (Beaune): Nice clean pear and apple notes, elegant but still compact.
