Purplish red core fading at the edges. Intense nose of earthy, wet, and mushroomy forest floor with a superb smokey smell that follows. Plenty of tart red cherries, cranberries, and tannic pomegranate that finishes with sweet and spicy cinnamon and oak. The palate confirmed the nose showing note for note and adding mouth-watering acidity and silky fine grained tannins making for great structure. Medium body and finish. Very enjoyable

Constat identique à celui dressé il y a deux ans : de la rondeur, du fruit, une belle densité, agréable à boire — supérieur au 2010 il me semble. Bon toucher de bouche, bon vin.

Out of a 375ml bottle, dont now if it was the bottle size or what but on opening I actually thought this was over the hill. Came to life after 3+hours. Not sure about this but would like to try a full bottle size next time.

Drank from 375ml. Decanted for 45 minutes. Nose and palate were completely muted showing hints of sour cherry and cranberry along with some minty earthiness. Really didn't get much from it. I can't tell if it was an off bottle or has closed down for now. Holding my other bottle for now.

Organic. I don't have a huge amount of experience with beaujolais, but this is the best bottle I've had. Great complexity, lovely minerality, juicy fruit. Fantastic value at 12 euros.

This is a fantastic Morgon. It really opened beautifully over an hour-and-a-half or so and was enjoyed by all. Started out a little gamey, and then evolved into lovely tart red and dark fruits with lovely, soft tannins. The fruit gained a little sweetness and intenseness as it evolved in decanter/glasses. Fantastic buy in the low $20s.

Darker red berry fruit aromas. Earthy a la vitamin red fruit. Palate is rustic, like the vitamin. Purple fruit flavors and some modest violet notes with 15 minutes of air.

Tasted over 2 days. Started out very youthful and showing a tremendous amount of young Gamay weirdness. Improved quite a bit as it got some air, but this really kicked into gear on the second night. This morphed into something really special - beautifully balanced showing really pure fruit and some earthiness with excellent depth and some fine tannins on the finish that really framed every sip nicely. I can understand that not everybody is on board with Gamay flavors, but there is no denying how well-made this wine is. Amazing quality for the < $20 price. I know some will scoff at the high score I've given, but seriously, there is nothing to criticize and everything to love about this wine. I feel totally justified with the score and am probably underscoring it just because it is Gamay. If you pop one of these soon, make sure to give it lots of air. Looks like 2011 is another great vintage for Cru Bojo.

Medium purple. Urgent nose of tart black cherry and some herbs in the background. Medium weight and volume of similar character fruit with solid acidity and rising stoniness on the finish. Slightly rounder and not as intense or mineral as the great '09 (the last vintage of this I've tasted), but this is no slouch either.

Similar to the basic morgon from this domaine but in larger scale. Very classic, and loads of blackberry on the nose. Just wonderful.
