Day-1 = 87pts Day-2 = 95pts Crystal clear but deep golden color for this 10yr-old beauty. It remibds me of a wonderful clear jewel. Clear legs quickly form and drip on the edge while bigger, slow dripping legs continue to form and drop and repeat for several minutes. The nose is clean with pronounced intensity. If blind tasted, it could pass as a red wine. There is olive and minerality and slight bitterness and slight MA with slight chalk and asparagus, caramel bacon grease and alcohol on the nose. The palate is dry with high acid, full body and is very, very smooth. I got slight graphite, mushroom gin, candy apple and nutiness and pecan. Finish = 1min 10secs Lemon, honey, minerality, yeast, wet rock, grass, chalkboard, meatiness, mineral water... Conclusion: The first day was a bit of a letdown. But on day-2 it lived up to its reputation, coming back with avengance. So smooth, so flavorful, so BEAUTIFUL! Mount Eden Vineyards never dissapoints - It will remain my favorite!

Aroma: wet stone and oyster shell with notes of spice and honey. Palate: lime and minerals with saline notes. Not as austere as a Chablis, but in the same vein. Excellent complexity and structure and good length. Very good.

Golden yellow color brimming at the rim with a buttery nose of vanilla and green apples. The body is full and velvety with a palate displaying green apple, lime, candle wax, and white rose petals. Finishes long and sublime with a hint of minerals. Drink now until 2018.

Cafe Pinot: Viscous, generous; rich fruity mouth with tree fruit and tropical notes with a good dose of vanilla oak. Well made, but this is not a subtle wine.

Light golden color; wow- butter screaming from the glass along with quince, ripe pear, popcorn, vanilla, a hint of smoke, and almost a tropical fruit spectrum; completely fat and rich on the palate with a milky texture and a medium length finish. Personally not a fan of the style.

A hit of sulphur on the nose - rather surprising. Was expecting a more buttery / oaked style - did not get this (my wife loves this style - not for me though).. Some pear and apple on the nose. Rather weak finish.

for a six year old wine, terrific. golden hue, tinge of green apple, gained some more fruit and hint of oak as it warmed. very age worthy white

grand cru like for a new world chardonnay. golden hue, lush fruit and acidity to cut and bind it all. terrific at 5 years of age.

A bit more toast than I expected, but still balanced. A might short, but a good price for a Chardonnay with some sophistication.

Nice level of acid and good finish. Think the price point is about right. Approve.

Rich and flavorful wine with nose of yeast and lemon. Full body with oak flavor but surprisingly low alcohol. Served with grilled shrimp.
