Opened at the All-Star Dinner by Zachy's in HK. P&P, small glass sample.
Very primary, slightly reductive aromatics even. Lots of structure and you can sense the quality lurking beneath. Got a little better with air but this just needs a whole load more time to start loosening up a bit. Will hopefully unfurl into something beautiful.
Score reflects it as it is today, but give this another 5+ years to see where it's at and I think there is definite upside.

Super Bowl 2021 (Bin 75 Alpharetta, GA): Darker see through ruby; pretty nose, reductive, pencil eraser, candied rose and cherry, smoke, sexy and high toned, lots of new oak, sexy but in a spot where it is trying too hard- still needs time to shed some youth and fully come together, sweet gobs of fruit, lacking some defining character, more hedonistic than cerebral at this stage; 2010 Grivot Echezeaux?
