This is drinking really well at the moment. All aspects are well integrated. Light minerals, soft tannins, hint of game. Just very well balanced and refined. Almost Cali Pinot in its delivery but that mineral and game mix is all burg. Would be a lovely choice for a date night dinner.

New oak and lots of fruit. Coffee, tobacco, strawberries, cherries, plums and cranberries. Leaning more towards the sweet oak rather than the spicy oak that I tend to like more.
Dry, Medium+ acidity, medium tannins, medium body, medium+ intensity and a long finish.
Feels very modern and not at all what I love with Burgundy. Much rather pay half the price and buy Australian or Californian Pinot.

Heavy aromas of kirsch like dense fruit, vanilla, almost overoaked at this stage. Very intense, soft tannins, almost too opulent after a 2002 Grivot Beaux Monts. Very savoury, rich, meaty style. Long finish. Needs time to develop a broader complexity. A lot of wine at this stage but one that surely will change over time! 91-92p

Clean, youthful, refined and polished nose. Medium(+) intensity with truckloads of Pinosity and aromas of strawberry, lingonberry, cranberry, expensive oak, baking spice, nutmeg, violets and raw meat.
Medium bodied with a medium(+) acidity and firm, medium tannins. The wine feels polished and silky on the palate. It shows loads of ripe red fruit, new oak, fine vanilla bean and baking spice. The finish is long and juicy.
This is pumped with fruit but manages to not get over the top. Still too young today and needs a decent amount of cellaring to come together.

From the section of Nuits that is close to Vosne and it shows in the wine, more refined and less plumpy than most NSG. Aromatic, fragrant as usual for this producer: High toned rose petal, floral, cedar, well-integrated oak, sweet coulis de framboise, etc. I got more baking spice than say La Riotte, or En la Rue de Vergy. Very fine tannins. Great intensity, very long finish. Tannins firm, but ripe, medium plus acidity gives freshness and structure to the wine. Very fine. Needs at least 5 to 10 years.
