Very pretty. Showing open and still deeply fresh. Acids still clear and balancing. Emergent petrol and honey with white flower and green apple in the nose and mouth. Pretty, well-judged viscosity. Cantaloupe, orange blossom and a whisper of salinity in the finish. Salivary glands kick in 30 seconds after a sip--supremely moreish. Super with bacon and spinach frittata. Bless you Mr. Theise.

Steely gray green; green apple, lime candy, crisp peach, exotic white flower, slatey, sweet but good cut, some of that white currant; could be a good extinguisher for spicy food.

A bit honeyed but still very young and firm acid, sweetness there but may need almost Auslese ripeness to balance the acids, some sharp pineapple touch of peach and lime but the spicy white currant really coming through on the palate, could have sworn this was Rheinghau with that flavor profile; still 1 left to evaluate later on.

So very young, with a seltzer-like spritz. So very sweet. But also, so very yummy. Amazing acidity, working hard to keep a crazy amount of sugar in check. Lime, some peach and pineapple, a bit of florals, long finish of bracing, mouth-puckering acidity. Yum!

Consistent with previous note: rich, ripe, red apple with some floral and mineral notes. Very forward and exuberant. I drank these much too young, but they are soooo good now.

Tuesdays with Salil: this is where i DONT want to open my spats. even after several days this was mainly primary and over-the-top. Good bones but... needs a LOT of time. Not that i didnt enjoy drinking it - i did! Papaya and tropical fruit dominate, ripe and creamy mouth-feel with hints of lemon and lime. lemon curd and mango. high RS, good medium finish. Will it come together? i am guessing yes - perhaps will move up with time a few points.

Pure joy. Red apple, tangerine, mineral salinity, some florals. Rich, high sugar but very well balanced. Medium-long, juicy finish. Yum. Even better on day 2.

Big Game Rieslings (Count's place, NY): Damn it's hard to stop opening these. Again not the most complex, but really fun to drink now with lots of youthful, primary fruit ranging from sweet orange and apple flavours to riper tropical notes, gentle floral accents, and bright acids beneath keeping it very fresh and lively.

Like my last bottle; not particularly complex right now, but so much fun to drink with really bright, fresh fruit and florality and powerful, racy acidity beneath keeping it really vibrant and light on its feet.

Fantastic Spätlese. A basket of ripe orchard fruits - apples, peaches, oranges, other ripe citrus fruits - accented with minerals and exotic floral notes, and all conveyed with a remarkable sense of refreshment and vibrancy. It's quite sweet but very well balanced by the acidity beneath, and the bottle disappears fairly quickly.

A lovely wine, in a ripe, opulent, fun style, but still light and lively. Red and green apple, quince, peach, with a floral nose and a long finish of red fruit and mineral saltiness. Lots of sugar, but even more acid to keep it in check. Very good.

Showed even better than the last two bottles. Floral and mineral dominate, with stone fruit behind. Quite sweet, but fairly light and balanced with a good acidity. Lovely, especially as a dessert wine

Very brief notes from memory. Surprising intensity and sweetness of an Auslese. Very rich and sweet, though with good acid balance. Stone fruit, ripe quince, and very floral. Lovely.

Incredibly primary at first, all about ripe ripe apple, stone fruits and a grapey sweetness for the first few sips, but over time other floral and mineral flavours emerge beneath the fruit as it gains more depth and nuance. There's bright acidity beneath keeping it very light on its feet and easy to drink, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this heads over the next few years as there's great purity and elegance to the flavours, and fantastic balance.

Beautiful nose of rich apricot and spice. So very very young it nearly foamed up on pour. Yummy fruit, light chalkiness, that spritzy youthful character. Medium finish. Quite good.
