Beautiful red brick colour. Leather and dried fig; great acid, tannins have softened but still pack enough of a punch. Delightfully long finish and very food-friendly

Med (+) ruby / garnet. Clean. developed, with aromas of macerated red cherry, dried black plum, dried herbs, leather, tobacco and baking spice note from 28 mos. of aging, part in large French oak barriques and part in very large casks. The palate is dry, with generous ripe fruit, medium acidity, medium tannins and high alcohol (14.5%). This is a very well-balanced and smooth wine, with medium flavor intensity and a medium (+) long finish. It is probably at its peak now or maybe slightly past. Nevertheless, it is really nice, rounded, with generous fruit. WS 90

*Note: have a cold, so tasting may be compromised* Can't get anything from the nose, but palate experience is very smooth with red fruit, kiwi, leather, and some citrus hints on the forefront. Ending with sneakers, menthol and rhubarb pie. Surprisingly tannic still after 2 hours of air, this should coast along for at least another decade. Quite nice.

Decanted for an hour. Medium (+) ruby / garnet. The nose is clean and developing, with aromas of ripe red cherry, dried black plum, dried herbs, and a nice baking spice note from 24 month of aging part in French oak barriques and part in medium capacity casks. The palate is dry, with generous ripe fruit, medium acidity, medium tannins and high alcohol (14.5%). This is a very well-balanced and smooth wine, with medium flavor intensity and a medium (+) long finish. It is probably at its peak now or maybe slightly past, since it seems a little soft. Nevertheless, it is really nice, rounded, with generous fruit. WS 90

Opens with an interesting coffe aroma that develops over time to include chocolate and dried prunes. Better at cellar temperature. Recommend letting open for 1.5 hours. Served with a grilled steak with chimichurri sauce and it paired well with it which is a challenge.

Cherry and cocoa on the nose. Very dry mouthfeel. Mid palate is very nice w Lots of ripe fruit with just a tad of oak. Finish is lackluster. A bit watery and lip puckering at the same time. I am in between on whether to like it or not. Not likely to get better from here.

Clear, medium ruby color. Clean aromas with medium intensity. Showing lots of secondary aromas- bitter cocoa, damp soil, ground spice, along with black cherry fruit. Dry on the palate, medium+ acid, high tannins, medium body. Rich dark cherry fruit flavors with secondary high-toned mineral notes, earth, spice and cedar/cocoa. There's an oak influence that needs air/time to resolve. Modern style. Big broad-grained tannins showing some polish. Bitter accents on the finish. Medium+ length. Very nice, but needs time.

A reticent, closed wine, needs lots of airation to bring forth its subtlety. A mute nose, with dominant strawberry highlights -- envokes a Rosso more than a Brunello -- yet the wine hints at sophistication and depth. Seems tight and traditional in style, the palate actually invokes other local micro climate southern exposure wines -- '04 Ciacci in particular. The fruit is more intriguing than just a strawberry like compote -- darker highlights of plums and coffee add to the overall complexity. This wine didn't come off as a forward and a quickly maturing wine -- may need plenty of patience to coax its full potential.

Retailer tasting: Beautiful bouquet with red and black fruits and sweet spices. Very juicy on the palate with a good balance between sweetness and acidity and a good length. A beautiful and complex wine.

Had it at a tasting at the winery. Obviously very young yet although already approachable. Some fruit, earthy nose. Full body, medium length with present tannins. Will smooth out in a few years. I really liked it a lot, very well made, classic Brunello (not as modern as I expected). Not overdone, not alcoholic. I expect it to reach 91-93. A great wine to enjoy with food.

A very nice, easy drinking, low effort Brunello. After a 2 hour decant, smooth with typical Brunello notes and not tannic.

Medium bodied, smooth. Soft Cherry, with a little bit of cedar. In its drinking window now. Subtle, but still pleasant.
