This would be among the best Sancerre's that we have had. On the open (when the wine was chilled), the flavor profile was dominated by limestone, sea shells and mineral. As the wine "warmed", there was a lovely transition to more citrus, especially grapefruit. Also, as the wine "warmed", there was a a noticeable transition to a more voluptuous mouthfeel.

50F. Opened 30 min. Nose with apricot and stone fruit, a little muted. Some lemon. Nice palate with crispness and well integrate: stone, grass, even a hint of tropical fruit and long finish. Pleasant, easy drinker. Some complexity mostly on late palate and in finish. Well made. Not overwhelmed by acid as in 2013.

Beautifully made Sancerre. Dry and crisp. Light nose. Mineral and flint, some citrus in the background. Crisp. A fair bit of acid on the palate. Paired well with broiled halibut and sautéed baby organic kale.

As this opens up, a mineral trades way for flower. Still chalky. Still a little ashy to the palate, citrus pith and peach blossom. Yes, a softer style of Sancerre.

55F P&P Clear light yellow. Nose with boxwood, shells, grass, lemon/lime (very interesting and nice). Strong acidity, almost a little bitter in the midpalate and finish. Citrus, stone. Long finish. Seems complex but acidity a bit overwhelming.

Greyish straw; bright nose of candied green apple maybe Jolly Rancher, gooseberries, sweet fruit and youthfulness with some chalk on the finish; give this another year or two because there is some good potential.

Great, pure intense. Soil type is softer, making softer wines.
