EBLC Sauvignon Blanc & Chardonnay Tasting (SLC): If you still have any of these I'd suggest drinking them soon. Past it's "Best by" date, but still provided some pleasure. Oxidation shows with a hint of green almond. Once you get past that there is a note of guava and some grassiness. Reminded me of a White Rioja in many ways, with just a hint of grass...

Alcohol: 12% Unfiltered Mis en bouteille au Chateau This wine has a citrous undertone with good acidity. The wine is not as austere as some French wines, but the fruit and flavor is not nearly as prominent as some Californian or New Zealand sauvignon blancs. I had this with scallops and it was an excellent accompaniment. I will look for this wine again.

Bright yellow color. Lemon zest with stony minerally nose. Wonderfully balanced. nice racy acidity, but not austere like a Loire. I love it. gimme some shellfish with this.

Yum! This is just my style. Terrific honeyed aroma, lots of crisp fruit in the mouth, great balance without being too minerally. Very enjoyable now, could almost certainly last a few years in the cellar.

Has a ncie lemony vibe, with a waxy texture that is nice. Very dry, as expected.
