I will drink and enjoy this but didnt love it - I feel it is a bit broad and imprecise, definitely some oak treatment and alcohol poking. But the depth and power to the yellow fruit is there, definitely high quality wine - just wished for a bit more acidity and precision.

Pale yellow color, straight citrus (lemon and grapefruit) plus the typical Chablis ingredients (iodine and salinity). It is quite linear, nice length and density. Good stuff, but I prefer the 2013 Clos I had some weeks ago, which was more expressive/exuberant.

Opened 3 days ago, finished today: ripe fruit (mainly citrus and pear), iodine, salinity with some white pepper. The length is good, but not more. A nice wine still drinking well on day 3.

92+ pts

Buckets of grilled lemon, spice, some oak; Full bodied, rounded -- but with refreshing acidity, already complex. A muscular and heavy set Chablis with lots of charm.

very good, although not ready yet. needs air. i would decant it at least an hour. Nose a little shy, lemon, orchard fruits, crushed stone, very fresh. The palate is well balanced, lifted by a great mineral backbone. Long. to be revisited in 5 years.

Oh my God how good the Chablis from Droin are! This was tasted together with Dauvissat les Clos 2009, and the Droin just blew Dauvissat off the stage. Young in colour, still with green, brilliant tones. Intense nose starting of with citrus and lime, then moving on to green apples, then to a shot of vanilla and sweet spice, and finally to chalk and crushed stone. A nose to die for. Full bodied attack, rather smooth for a les Clos, but - oh! - how delicious. Green apples fills the mouth and lingers long after being swallowed. IN the aftertaste the appley tone is complemented by lime and tons of minerals and sea-salt. This is close to a perfect GC Chablis, and a wonderful example of how to balance fruit and minerals, as well as uprising (oak) and origins. Perfect to drink now, but I would not hesitate to keep this wine for at least ten more years. Now, it just seems indestructible and a wine for eternity.

Wine of the evening in a tasting including grand crus from W Fevre, S. Billaud, and premier crus from Ravenau and Dauvissat. Brilliant colour. Modest aromas at first, but blooms into tones of green apples, lime, bergamott, smoke and chalk. Full bodied, fills the mouth with intense taste of green apples and lemon. AFter a while, the mineral tones of chalk and crushed stone emerges, while the finish is salty and full of oyster minerals. Extreme length. This is just a great wine. If you are lucky enough to have this in your cellar, drink now with some shellfish, or keep for five more years. This will probably keep for eternity.

Blind. Citrus and spice, some reduction, good depth; smooth, almost slick, big body, some wood, bitter finish. Never could have placed this as a Chablis.

Lovely clear mineral lift; perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, with lemon and flint. Good depth and mouthfeel. A wine that grows in the glass, although probably without the weight of other Les Clos I have drunk. Not great but very good.

Drunk together with same producers 2012 Grenoilles. This one is much more closed, and has only opened up for a modest palette of aromas dominated by fresh citrus, flint and smoke. Full bpdied, but still extremely tight, not giving mich in the first attack in the mouth. High acidity makes the wine almost difficult to drink now, but in the aftertaste it all comes together in a minerally, citrus and green apple combination. Extremely long, aømost like drinking melted stones (in lack of better words). I will tuck the rest of my bottles in the back of my cellar, although this wine was very pleasant with lobster "naturel" caught in our own traps. Will probably deserve a better score i five years time.

Has really tightened up and is so sharp and cutting like great Chablis should be. It is loaded with iodine and has piercing citrus fruits. There's great shape and volume and length is superb.

This really is a wine of beauty and so damned hard to keep in the cellar. Of course 2 or 3 years in the cellar would make it better. Of course it is being drunk too young. Of course it is still primary. But oh what pleasure.

50 percent barrel fermentation and maturation, of which up to 10 percent new oak. On the nose, intense, citrus, smoke, leesy, wet stone. High acidity. Full bodied. Long finish with notes of mineral. Structure and concentration contribute to its longevity.
