Spicy nose, dark berry pie. Lush entry, soft and well-balanced. Blueberry and dark raspberry flavors. Silky mouthfeel on the mid and finish. Zingy and tasty on the finish, exuding blueberry and blackberry concentrate. An hour after decanting, this wine still has lots of flavor and spice.

Although very young, I enjoyed this quite a bit (and a nice find at an airport wine bar). On the nose, an interesting melange of rhubarb, cranberry, and stewed cherry, with a finishing touch of baking spice. On the palate, lots of tension but silky mouthfeel. Rhubarb and black cherry, with spicy undertones and a hint of minerality. Will mellow with time and should prove to be an excellent wine.

Very different than the Lancel Creek from the same vintage. Color and flavours seem more evolved. Butterscotch, ripe pinot fruit. The style is more masculine, with more poise, tannins and a longer finish. Excellent and more open to business than the Lancel that day. +++(+)

Still going strong. Rather remarkable that it's still so fresh and lively. Great fruit. Becoming one of my favorites from them.

Light color. Nice nose. Smooth on the mouth. Cranberry and cherry flavors, with a slightly earthy and tannic taste

Very light and delicate. Strong cranberries and floral on the nose. Long smooth finish. Very easy to drink.

A day tasting in the Russian River Valley, Sonoma (Russian River Valley): Firm acidity, tight with a dark deep tar in the middle. More narrow & lean than the Lancel Creek.
