Was surprised to see this was still amazing. Great color. The nose was a little timid.. but there was still plenty of flavor in the wine. Got a little green banana, some toffee, and lemon. I have a store nearby that still has a few more 2011’s on the shelf… gonna pick up another one.

We discovered this in our cellar along with three others--a great find! The wine was terrific from the first pour--pulled the cork and started enjoying it. It is spectacular! Apples and pear on the nose and on the palate. There was a lovely hint of vanilla/oak, as well, on the palate. The finish was long and languid! The wine is "drinking as good as it gets"!

From a bottle purchased upon release and cellared in pristine fashion, this wine is now medium-to-deep golden in color. Complex on the nose and palate, it delivers a core of melon, chamomile, honeyed stone fruits, caramel and vanilla. Full-bodied, freshly acidic and with nicely integrated alcohol (listed as 14.1%), it is rich and dense on the mid-palate, adding notes of spicy oak. Although there is good verve here, there is also a creaminess to the texture that persists all the way through the lengthy finish. Well-crafted and still with plenty of fruit, this Chardonnay has enough stuffing to easily reach its tenth birthday. Drink now-2021.

This was delicious. Would definitely recommend. Full bodied without being too much. Still lively, good fruit, which surprised me. No tropical notes, not citrus. Fruit balance is in between the two.

Burnt toast and straightforward oak on the nose initially, adding more fruit with time. Medium bodied with restrained fruit, sugars and alcohol; almost as if the fruit was picked deliberately a little green and a little early. Medium finish with balanced but food friendly acidity, the end having notes of freshly drained oak barrel.

Pale yellow-gold/straw color with a shiny ege. The nose gives off bright aromas of mild oak, vanilla, and apple. The palate is medium-to-full bodied, just slightly creamy in texture with bright acidity. Flavors of green apple pie, appricot, and slightly toasted caramel form the core. Finishes long and juicy with hints of limestone slate and minerals. Very attractive and delectable. Very easy drinking Chardonnay, and a definite crowd-pleaser. Drink now until 2021.

Fruity nose and chalky palate, showing pineapple skin, acacia flower and some fresh fig. Medium length. Crisp and and focused. 100% malolactic and still possesses a fine feminine edge. Drink now - 2019.

Honeysuckle and lemon nose, peachy fruit. A little too much butter mid palate and segued nicely to a gravel and toast finish. I like to hate Chardonnays, but this was a really good wine.

A great way to start a morning in the RRV. Light yellow, straw. Nice mid weight nose of lemon, mineral and a hint of smoke. Delicious chardonnay flavours and enough acid to make me think Burgundy.
I bought a bottle which we enjoyed late with Oysters at Hog Island.

- Yellow color with medium forming legs. It's balanced and has flavours of hay/straw and oak with a medium/full body. Polished texture with a medium finish - Well loaded with oak and acidity. Overtones of honeysuckle.

Sonoma Valley - Tasted at winery: Tasted at Winery. This was our #1 of the tasting, red and white. Short nose, but concentrated flavors. Stone, mineral, citrus, stone fruits. A bit of richness overall. Silky, elegant with an acidic edge. Not counting the the richness, this would be a very Burgundian style. (D - Strong wine. Loved)

Straw yellow with medium weight in the glass. Nose of lemon oil, yellow flowers, apple, fennel and toast. Medium body with a lemon core and butter on the palate. Tropical, pear and stone fruit round it out. Oily textures that play off the fruit nicely. Secondary toffee and brine. Med-long finish. Some complexity that could improve with age.

My first time with Merry's chardonnay, after all these years drinking her Pinot's and Sauvignon Blancs. Crisp and clean, with hints of pineapple, green apple, and fresh herb. Nice minerality on the finish. I will pick some up.

Enjoyable, with impressions similar to the other reviews. However for $10 less, I prefer the Shafer Red Shoulder Ranch.
