On the nose - a little butterscotch giving way to a faint coconut and a little ocean spray, no stone fruit, no flint or stone. On the palate it is pretty one dimensional, no front, mid, or back palate. On the palate - we got a splash of fruit that gave way to a saline finish that lingers. For me it is the finish -it paired well with a shashimi trout, smoked roe, and a sesame seed cracker as well.

This exceeded all expectations- pale gold colour , mineral and peach bouquet ,long, precise palate with saltiness and stone fruit but a honeysuckle note to add richness ,drinking well now and for next 5 years

Eh... it is strange, and I'm not sure what to think about it. I don't think it's corked, but perhaps cooked/maderized. Hopefully the other bottles are better

Pale gold in colour. Very reductive nose with gun flint, struck match and minerality. Palate shows good texture, some gentle tropical fruits with a very clear brioche & yeast notes. Not unattractive but not really showing what one would want from a quality PM with 8 years age on it. A decant has allowed it to open up further. Will have to see how this ages.

Medium yellow gold in colour. Nose is incredibly brioche with real yeast or hops on the nose; a little nuttiness too. Palate also shows that yeast with some stone fruits and some gentle truffle. Will benefit from food. Still feels young, though starting to enter drinking window. Drink now-2026.

One of two originally purchased, the other got opened about six months ago. Where that other was pale, this one was quite yellow. Less fruit than struck-match notes, and a hint of something that might be pre-mox.
Excessive sulfur of the just-struck-match variety obscured all other potential aromas and flavors and turned off a table full of experienced European wine lovers. Interesting that no other recent reviews even mention it. I took the rest of the bottle home and tasted it about five hours later, by which time the sulfur had blown off but all that was left was saline minerality. Disappointing.

Pale gold in colour. Odd, grapefruit pith bitterness on the nose initially, what over toasted oak might give to the wine? Shows through to the palate too. I don't think this is premox, but something really isn't OK with this wine. No attractive fruit, just dull mineral salinity. I wish the finish was shorter...

Herbal with white flowers. Loads of clay and stone mineral. Hey with some yeasty notes mingled with light wood notes. the palate is silky full and creamy with citric notes that linger nicely on the finish.

Light straw yellow, clear. It starts reductive, with some oak mixed with bread and yeast notes. Later some citrus fruit. After time in the glass a sweet bread not emerges. On day two the oak has receded somewhat and is now clearly in the background. Fruit is now more peach, sweet and fine. Overall very enjoyable. The oak is felt on the palate too, but it has good freshness and a nice acid spine. It improved on day two, balanced and with good tension. Very mineral and long. Oak has now integrated well. One of the best 2012 white Burgundy I have had. I especially liked its energy.
Some 1dl remained in the bottle and in the fridge for almost a month, and at the end was still drinkable. This must not be a good candidate for premox - but who knows...

The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like apple, pear, oak and hay/straw. It tastes like hay/straw, pear and mineral. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has high acidity.
