Beautiful nose of toasted hazelnuts, seared apricots and canned peaches. Bone dry and nutty on the palate. Tinge of iodine as well as toasted brioche with a slather of peach/apricot jam (without any of the sweetness). Fantastic texture and still quite youthful. 92

A wow sparkler. Competes with any grower champagne. Nose is full of leesy/brioche aromas. Mature fruits … marmalade, dried peaches/apricots, orange peel, orange peel oils. Wow. Medium bodied, great structure, full mousse, bone dry. Acidity is still present … singeing at first but calms down with air time. Tastes include dried apricots and peaches, and the bitterness of orange peel on the end. I could have aged this longer. A fantastic sparkling wine for the money.

What a fantastic nose! Just loaded with toasted brioche slathered with apricot marmalade and orange peel essential oils. Medium-full bodied and rich for a brut nature, this is as delicious as it smells. Despite the lack of dosage, the palate tastes sweet and is loaded with fresh peaches and apricots. This tastes as if it is still a baby at nearly 12 years old. combines the easy-going (moderate acidity) character of Cava with the complexity of the best grower Champagnes. Drink now-2020+ 93

Excelente.

Drank over a couple of days. Held up extremely well, which suggests to me no hurry to drink this. Some minerals on the palate and a fairly long finish. Nose is a bit subdued. Most champagne fans will probably enjoy this.

I really enjoyed this cava. A pleasant floral / honeyed / nutty aroma, dry on the palate but without any sharp acidity. Decent length and a refined finish. A somewhat different flavour profile than what I'm used to in champagne, for example, but I would buy again.

Decent sparkler, but bad QPR. Pale yellow with reticent bead and no mousse to speak of. Citrus, Wonderbread, some bitter hazelnut, but the various components don't mesh. There are very good grower-producer NV Champagnes for the same price that are considerably better.

Slightly oxidative nose of medium+ intensity with notes of hazelnut, bread, toast and minerals. Crisp, mineral-driven aroma replays joined by grapefruit and lime pith notes on the flavour profile. Fine, luscious mousse. Just a touch of sweetness, but effectively dry due to the bright acids. Long, smooth finish.

Developing nose with a medium aroma intensity. Lots of autolytic aromas - yeast, toasted white bread, nougat. But also a rather rich fruitiness with yellow plums, ripe lemons, yellow and red apples.
Dry on the palate with a medium acidity and body. The mousse is modest with small, soft bubbles. The flavor intensity is medium. Flavors of nougat, sweet lemons, red apples and yeast. The finish is medium+.
Probably the best Cava I've ever had. Serious and well-made. Drinking good today but should benefit from further aging.

The wine is clear and bright with a pale lemon colour and presence of many small bubbles. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of rye bread, cookies, lime, lemon peel, green apples and hints of acetaldehyde. The wine is off-dry with a medium(+) acidity. It has a medium alcohol and a medium(-) body with a creamy mousse. It has medium(+) intensity flavours of rye bread, cookies, llime, lemon peel and green apples. The finish is medium(+).
It is a very good quality wine. It has a very nice flavour concentration and a quite decent finish, as well as a decent degree of complexity provided by autolytic notes, although not enough to make it outstanding. The acidity balances very well the slight sweetness and flavour concentration. Can drink now, but it has enough acidity and flavour concentration to develop some more complex tertiary aromas over the next 3-5 years.

A blend of Xarel-lo (75%) and Macabeo (25%) from a biodynamically cultivated, 5-hectare vineyard, La Plana. The wine is aged for a minimum 72 months on the lees (I think the current vintages are aged for closer to 100 months), after which the wine is both riddled and disgorged manually. The wine is Brut Nature, thus no dosage.
Rather neutral green color. Very rich and intense nose with complex and exotic, layered aromas resulting from the extended aging on the lees: vanilla blossom, almond paste, perfumed dried flower aromatics, some oxidative aromas of walnuts and hints of caramelized fruits and roasted almonds. Bone-dry, complex and intense on the palate with rich yet incredibly fresh and focused flavors of grapefruit, green apples, just-baked bread, some bruised apple, a little peanut butter and a hint of buttered toast. The mousse is surprisingly crisp, powerful and even a bit sharp for a wine this old. The finish is bone-dry, crisp and mouth-cleansing with complex, layered flavors of pronounced, chalky minerality, crushed mixed nuts, cream, tart Granny Smith apples, some vanilla custard and a hint of autolytic brioche.
Really, really impressive. Stylistically very similar to the Gran Reserva Imperial, but with more focus, precision, energy and, above all: fantastic, aged complexity. Although the emphasis is on the autolytic notes of nuts, toast and cream, the wine isn't brooding and heavy, all thanks to the lack of dosage, giving the tart, acid-driven fruit also room to shine. Tremendous stuff both on its own and with food. Might get better in the cellar, but as the wine is showing tremendous complexity already, I see no point in aging it any further. Very recommended and incredible value at 22,30€.

So this is seven years on the lees and all of it on the cork. The idea is that the cork actually keeps the Cava fresher and oxidizes the Cava much slower. But the problem is that the corked bottles have to hand riddled and disgorgement is by hand as well. And you can see the mark on the bottom of the bottle where they started riddling it.
Very smokey and toasty ont he nose, very much smells of Champagne. Much more "serious" and super long. Very complex and very mature. I am being told. And that is true.
I can believe I am being convinced that there is life for Cava above $15.

Un peu déçu compte tenu de la presse qui vantait ce Cava. Ça demeure très bon, brioché, assez sec même si un côté tendre en finale me dérange. Longueur ok, pas le plus grand mousseux mais assez agréable.
