This wine should have been consumed 3-5 years prior. Opens with aged wine bottle funk. Bricked edges. More earthy and the fruit is largely gone. Well structured, more viscous. Opens up over time. Some stewed tomatoes, dusty cherry, a very Italian interpretation of Bordeaux. Acid still present.

- Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of black currant. It's balanced and has flavours of licorice anise, oak, mushroom and black currant with a full body. Round texture with a long finish.

Ripe, nice cabeernet sauvignon. I felt the taste of the grape immediately. I really like the vines from Poliziano. A high quality producer with a favourable pricetag.

Deep garnet/purple color. Hints of cherry, spice, vanilla with muted leather and wood in the background. The wine envelopes the mouth with some cushion of alcohol, not acidic, but good tannins supporting the fruit. Well rounded - good structure - full bodied - long finish. Still fantastic.

Nose showed plenty of cabernet notes. Dark, purple beautiful in the glass. Full bodied, complex with a very long finish. A crowd pleaser for all at dinner. One of those rare wines that stops the conversation.
While I think this wine has plenty of life left, it is hard to imagine it improving. It is definately in the zone.

showed poorly compared to what other bottles have. Perhaps these are coming into decline. The savory aspects were all there with the tobacco and chocolate but the oomph was gone. I hope it is just the bottle. 91pts, still a good wine though.

smokey chocolate fruitcake nose with underlying herbs meats overlying tone of butter? Very intense and "nose holding" in nature. Quixotic in nature, deep sweet fruits that are alluring and earthy at the same time. Soft medium weight, pure acid that hides behind tons of chocolate cherry and finishing herbal notes smothered in chocolate...med globular tannin. Long....93+

Crazy dusty chocolate nose with cured meats, green tea, savory elements, mushroom, cigar box, licourice, blackberries. I have never had a wine evolve so much with every sniff and taste offering something new. Soft and plush on the palate with a wack of chocolate, pyrazine, tobacco, meats. Med + italian acid. Pure, focused, globular tannin....LONG.
