Pleasant nose, followed by very dark, dry, fruit and a finish of tannin and a little bit of alcohol. I was left wanting a little more balance and a little more bright fruit, but then this wine is likely well past it's prime, which is why I'm checking its status (spring cleaning).

Moderately deep red with brick edge to colour. Interesting aroma, not overtly fruity, mineral-like aroma, hot stones, but still very fresh. Possibly green almonds, with some high volatile acid-type notes. Very dry palate, maybe a bit too dry, flat rather than rounded, with a tingling fresh acidity at the finish. Moderate weight but very pleasing and well balanced.

Still quite youthful in appearance with a touch of purple; quite delicate nose, some nice floral aromatics, nothing overt, dry stones; palate is the highlight, a beautifully balanced combination of fruit and age sweetness with acidity to carry it and some tannin to provide weight. Great wine for drinking.

Excellent.

Nice, easy-to-like Crozes. Classic syrah-nose; blackberries, meat and some muck. Quite developed, not so much tannins and acidity left. Was probably at it's best 2 years ago.

Eh, this never seemed to open up and show much. Muted nose with some tar and cherry. Acidic palate, thin and simple adding some dark fruit. Short mineral finish. Pleasant light and floral wine with good acidity. Daily drinker with food. I tend to prefer more concentrated syrahs.

Great gamy, meaty notes. Also great leathery and garrigue notes on the nose. Palate was a bit thin. Surprisingly light bodied for a Syrah. Nice dusty blackberry flavors. Overall it was just screaming for food, and unfortunately it was drunk by itself. My mistake.

Nose - salty black olive brine, cured meat like proscuitto. Some sweet red plums, anise & dry wood.
Palate - I'm getting some hot stones, I know that doesn't sound rite haha, & I'm not sure what they taste like but that's what I'm getting. Mid palate is really round but not thick w/good acidity. Sour cherries & tannin on the finish. Really unripe fruit 2.
Nice wine. Not super complex but easy drinkin. & again it wud go w/a crap load of food!

Earthy, black pepper, a bit of spice, characteristically rhone. The black pepper taste reminds me of a good cotes-du-rhone. A bit high on the alcoholic "burn". Not bad, but I've had much better from Guigal.

too acidic for me bit one dimensional, nice bouquet, violet purple color, actually went pretty well with the bred pudding dessert. Ruth Chris Steak house is rubbish.

Great nose, cherry, wood, earth, pepper. In the mouth it's austere and dry, very spicy, lots of acidity. I don't think this is a long term wine as it doesn't have the structure, but it's drinking very well right now.

Medium-dark ruby colour. Aromas of sweet red plums, currant, spice, and eucalyptus. Medium-full bodied, with sweet red stone fruit, raspberry, and garrigue. Firm tannins and nice acidity. Short-moderate finish, ~20-25s, with red fruit and garrigue notes. Nice.

Still in very good shape, less developed than previous bottle. Classic Crozes, rather elegant.
