Very nice Amarone, mature but this can hold more years. Not too dense and oily in body on palate like some other Amarone. Needs some air to open and get fresher. You don't feel the alcohol too much as well, decently integrated. A smoother version of Amarone. Only note for development: a little muted on nose

SLDS June 2017 #1: Licorice, blackberry, redcurrant and cedar. Quite intense palate, there is punchy fruit and quite a bit of weight behind it. Still shows focus through the middle, nice wine in this bigger style and preferred to the 2012 that we tried earlier this year.

VinItaly Day 3 (Verona, Italy): Dull crimson, some clarity; deep, red meaty cherry, chocolate, herbs in back, beautiful and subtly intense nose; great structure, again more subtle, substantial, Burgundian; freakin delicious! Definitely get the influence of both Quinterelli and Dal Forno in this.
The bouquet seemed to leap from the glass with beautiful floral tones, sweet spice, ripe cherry, dusty soil, and a hint of charred meat. On the palate, it was rich, showing impeccable balance with flavors of ripe black cherry, sweet spice, tobacco and licorice, yet juicy and vibrant throughout. The finish was long with spiced dark fruits and a contrasting bitter note. This is a tremendous wine.

Nose has some dark fruits, but it is mostly hidden by high acidity and a bit of acidity.
Palate is spicy some minerality which I find very unusual for an amarone, dark fruits with vighet acidity like black currant. This is way to Young to drink.
