Bright, light lemon in color, shimmering, clean and clear. Beautiful subdued smoky 'oakiness', some lemon zest High minerality. Still rather bracing. Aggressive acidity balanced with a sort of lemon curd creaminess on the back end. The oaky smokiness comes and goes adding nuances to each flavor profile. This is a special wine. Without a doubt a lot of effort has gone into making it. A lot of finesse with this one. Drink now or hold another 1-3 years.

In really good form. There’s a whiff of smoky mineral reduction. It has pure white peach and green melon fruits. It is rich, direct, powerful and long.

Took a few minutes in the decanter to open up. Pale honey in the glass, deeper in the decanter. On the nose I got lemon and apples, on the palate more lemon, pear and peach. The oak was evident but not overbearing, smokey vanilla and then honey. As other notes mention, this has a long finish. Nicely balanced, drink now.

This was an interesting wine - served with trout. Really intense nose and very fat on the palate. This should age in splendid fashion and there is upside to the score I think.

Singing tonight. Full, minerality in place to keep it fresh.

Quite a bit of oak left in this wine upon opening. Chewy chardonnay with med+ acidity and body. Decent length, drinking well already.
Drink or hold.

Pairing with “knife fish (刀鱼)” before 清明. Deep straw color, silky body, gasoline, lemon, tropical fruits, bitter aftertaste.
