  Popped and poured. Drank over 4 hours
  
  Bright, light lemon in color, shimmering, clean and clear.
  Beautiful subdued smoky 'oakiness', some lemon zest
  High minerality. Still rather bracing. Aggressive acidity balanced with a sort of lemon curd creaminess on the back end. The oaky smokiness comes and goes adding nuances to each flavor profile. This is a special wine. Without a doubt a lot of effort has gone into making it. A lot of finesse with this one. Drink now or hold another 1-3 years.

  Quite a bit of oak left in this wine upon opening. Chewy chardonnay with med+ acidity and body. Decent length, drinking well already.
  Drink or hold.
