It's certainly possible that this was good in it's youth, but it's not now. The fruit is gone with no secondary flavors so you just get oak and alcohol.

Medium to dark yellow with a touch of gold. At initial opening it had a smokey burnt scent and taste which dissipated after about 30 minutes. . Nose also has a nuttiness, honeysuckle and creamy lemon. It seems like it has gone through full Malo. Palate is round with moderate acidity. On the palate there is butterscotch, hazelnuts, crème brûlée, lemon and just a little white peach on the finish. I think this is probably on a gentle downslope going forward. Drink up if you have them as I will with my last bottle.

This was lovely and as good or slightly better than my previous bottles. Crisp lemon yellow color with a nice nose of lemon curd, vanilla, honeysuckle and minerals. Medium acidity, fairly rich mouth feel and a long finish. Flavors included those in the nose and a touch of sweeter meyer lemon and honey. Really nice and probably at its peak with 6 years in bottle.

Melon, pear and vanilla aromas. The palate matches, adding apple and more notes from the oak influence. Light acidity and mineral notes along with the oak add structure.

Nice light lemon yellow color. The nose has a smoky oak element that's very manageable as well as some citrus lemon, perhaps lemon curd, as well as a touch of butterscotch. On the palate you get the lemon curd a nice flinty minerality and some tropical fruit on the finish. The aftertaste lasted quite long and is quite pleasant. There is a bright yet chewy mouth feel. Quite nice with a decent life remaining given the acidity.

Bright rich lemon yellow color. Nose has citrus, vanilla, lemon curd and a touch of tropical fruit. Nice round mouthfeel. Solid acidity and minerality on the palate along with the lemon curd, a little papaya and vanilla. Modern styled with moderate oak, balanced and well made.

I find pear and fig aromas in the glass, not a rich and heavy style, but a natural and crisp one, apples, spices, peaches and roasted marshmallow on the palate, nice acidity, has a slight mineral edge that keeps it crispy and easy to consume, went well with an oriental salad followed with chicken marsala, drinks well now

Golden color. Nose: lemon curd, grilled pineapple, Asian pear, and baked apple with accents of vanilla wafer, toasted brioche, orange blossom, hazelnut, nutmeg, cinnamon, cardamon, and river stone. Full body on the palate: lemon curd, pineapple, Asian pear, toasted green fig, and baked green apple framed by vanilla wafer, baking spices, white pepper, hazelnut, and river stone. Medium acidity. Lingering green apple/fig skin, white pepper, and river stone on the moderate/long finish. Plush, toasty, spicy Chardonnay held together by a good core of minerality. Nice companion for baked lobster/crab mac & cheese, creamy pasta dishes, or a dessert cheese board. Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Disclaimer: I am not very well versed in Chardonnay. I know what's good though and this is quite awesome. Maybe one of the best Chardonnays I have ever enjoyed. It's fragrant with notes of sweet honeysuckle, honey and pretty tropical fruits. Mouthfeel is deftly focused, this shows a near weightlessness on the tongue. Amazing. Some perfect placed notes of oak and minerality, this is fresh and vibrant and never goes pear-shaped. Ever. Tannins are intricate and finish is long, it holds the freshness in a crazy time-warp. Wow. Gotta get me some more.

A wonderful aroma of honey suckle and light brown sugar. Really opens up when only lightly chilled. Smooth taste of green apple crisp. No burn. Decent finish.

Great acidity highlights the citrus flavors present and combines well with the oak. Nice wine.

A bit too much oak at this stage, but there is a good underlying streak of acidity. Hopefully everything will integrate over the next 2-3 years.
